the problem with Level-D is nothing to do with the actual aircraft but how they banned someone for telling another potential customer about an issue the aircraft has when used in FSX. They want you to buy the product before you find out it has issues when they know full well the problem exists.

I never heard of them banning anyone, besides flight1 offers a 30 day money back guarantee .

the best aircraft i've seen has got to be the NGX but quality wings 787 flight deck looks quite goodfile.php?id=943&mode=view

There are two ways you could take the OP's comments - 1) Everyone else is wasting their time and should close down - no I don't think so either, or 2) the standard is getting higher and higher and everyone must pay attention to keep up.The examples above prove my point, the Level-D 767 was once rated the pinnacle of sim development, it is now considered dated if not actually past it. Some are suggesting the same thing of PMDG's own 747. That said, comments about Level-D's treatment of users surprise me, exactly how long do you think you could keep answering the same questions over and over again before you starting telling people to stop being lazy and rtfm! Theirs is very much a support form as opposed to the discussion model that PMDG adopts. There are a number of other developement houses on par with PMDG in their own areas. You only have to read the comments from RSR, Ryan and Vin to realise how much mutual respect there is in this industry.
I really think it's option 2 (as I'm sure most of us do). Monoploies don't do us, the consumer, much good. The Level-D forums? I guess you are correct with them having 8 years of the same questions, usually answered by one official, but a little friendlier would go a long way. Reading the manual can't address all issues, sometimes, the consumer is right and there are bugs. Theirs is a forum you can't see until you buy and then you get some of the larger bugs and workarounds. Somteimes you get it with attitude. Very similar is Flight 1's ATR. There is a 100% repeatable bug (that crashes FSX) with the VNAV, and no fix incoming. Yet, they claim the issue is [solved].I have the confidence in PMDG's planes that large issues (ie the NGX "freeze" issue) will usually get fixed with very little attitude. I also feel confident in purchasing PMDG planes when released. With Flight 1 I'm going to make sure I research the issues before buying. I do not think Level-D will have another release. And, if they do, I'm not sure how many consumers have been alienated by some of the pointed repsonses from the support over there.

A2A comes pretty close, maybe not in graphic detail (though they are very good), but certainly in simulation quality with Accusim.

the person who's repsonsible for running the LevelD forums (Not going to mention any names here) is certainly a bit too arrogant for his own good. And i don't think we will ever see that 757. to me it looks like it's Abandoned, or even worse Wapourware (Yes i know they have showed us 1 screenshot of a 2d panel, but nothing on the visual model and the VC)Seems like it's up to PMDG to deliver a 757 whenever they get time in the future, they will probably beat LevelD with about 10 years in releasing it too :(

Dc9 does look sweet.I also checked out qw 787 - will be interesting to see how deeply they model the systems. I like the look of their 757 but have stayed away from purchasing due to the lack of some of the functionality we're used to with the NG. It's hard to go back!

Gents-Let us please not twist this thread into personal attacks on any other developer or their representative...If you think someone is arrogant- but you haven't met him in person- then perhaps you should make such an effort before castigating him publicly.Running a forum like this is very very taxing at times... I happen to know those guys at LDS- and I'm quite fond of them. They are simmers just like the rest of us- so please keep the comments away from being personal.

I'm sure they're great in the real world, but have you looked at their support board?

My apologies for that Robert, i did not mean to come with personal attacks. I said what i said, based on what i've seen on their forums, and certain replies there are comepletely uncalled for.And to be completely honest, i don't think the Level D guys would want to meet me in real life, and neither would i want to meet them. However i will not comment on other developers in this forum in the future. I'm sorry if i offended anyoneHave a nice weekend.

Level-D did a fantastic job with systems. They will have a great product with the 757.

They may very well. However, their appalingly cavalier attitude towards bugs in their products and their rude and arrogant support ensure I won't buy it.
