Secret Project #2: Boeing 787?, according to Wikipedia ;)

Featured Replies

I'm waiting for a teacher to log in here and write that Wikipedia is completely useless and isn't a reliable source of information. No seriously, what's so bad about Wikipedia? It's obvious that a fan of PMDG made the PMDG article. I mean, the whole article is exactly like the "About PMDG" tab on the precisionmanuals.com website, an it's saying random projects are coming out.Every once in a while you will see something like that.

Keep your eyes on the Level-D 757 though.

I'm hoping for a Boeing 717-200 :( .Joshua Smith

I once read on Wikipedia that the population of elephants had tripled over the last six months...

I hope this is not true. Since QW is doing a 787, it would be the best that all simulator developers does something, what doesnt excsist :). Like A320!Lauri

Secret project 2 may be the 747, although PMDG haven't made it a secret in recent times, so I think maybe something else.Alex

I really wish to see a new and updated 767. But if I were to choose a classic, I'd probably hope for the 747-200.

My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.

Highly doubt both of them... especially the 757! Keep your eyes on the Level-D 757 though.
I highly doubt we will see a Level-D 757,it has been 2 years without a single line by the official Devs. I beat its been canceled!

A pmdg 767 would be great. Brought the level d 767 out from the cob webs the other day and boy does that cockpit need an update. In fact the whole model does. The ngx standard in a 767, 777(soon....yay!), 747(redo of the pmdg one), 787(most likely one day). My life would be complete. What is PMDG's stance on the 767? I know they dont like to step onto other developers toes, but surely they could do something? How similar is the 767 to the 777 etc?

Cameron Lett :)

IMHO The aircraft most in need of a payware rendition (Not counting projects in development) would be the A330/A340, followed by the CRJs, Beech 1900s and the 717.The projects that will make the most commercial sense for PMDG however would be either a 747-400X upgrade, a B1900 for FSX, or a 737 Classic based on the NGX.

a PMDG 767 would be fantastic but I dont think its gonna happen. And the 787 is just 2 new for any kind of indepth simulation. Id really love an uptodate 747 though but that would be a huge project and more time taken away from the 777.

Don't forget, the Secret Projects are only there to keep the guys working who don't have anything to do right now. Their part on the 777 may be done, or still to come, but in the mean time they have time to kill.Redeveloping and remodelling the 747 will take quite some time and effort I think, not something you can bang together in a few months, especially not after the quality we've come to expect from PMDG with the NGX ;-)
