December 8, 201213 yr Commercial Member Still keeping my fingers crossed for a base -200 and -200ER version. Or, at least hopefully one of the two without the extended raked wingtips of the -200LR. December 8, 201213 yr Hey guys one question. The 77W stands for 777-300ER right? But is it true that the letter 'W' was chosen as an abbreviation for the letters 'E' and 'R'? Because 'E' ist the 5th of the alphabet and 'R' the 18th. And 5 + 18 = 23 for 'W' ? So is it possible that this calculation can be true? When referring to different variants, Boeing and airlines often collapse the model number (777) and the variant designator (−200 or −300) into a truncated form (e.g. "772" or "773"[139]). The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) aircraft type designator system adds a preceding manufacturer letter (e.g. "B772" or "B773").[140] Subsequent to the capacity number, designations may or may not append the range identifier (e.g. 777-300ER as "773ER",[141] "773B",[142] "77W",[143] or "B77W"[140]). These notations may be found in aircraft manuals or airline timetables. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_777 A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. - Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

December 14, 201213 yr It's probably amiss because we all thought October would be release month. With no preview shots of anything in detail or videos etc, it's just another fcase of something went wrong so there are delays. No biggy really. Cameron Lett
