PMDG 777 Information

No it'll be an Airbus Christmas, but with constant returns to the PMDG NGX .... still astonishingly good, and always challenging to fly.

Which Airbus are you flying in FSX?

I'll need to pick my words carefully as fanpersons and flamers wait to take the most minor of offense.

I fly the Blackbox Simulation Prologue as it has the most accurate representation of systems and fly by wire.

The Aerosoft Airbus x is the most complete, with a great setup section in the MCDU. But it was deliberately released as a light version, and so does not emulate as much as the BBS.

I use the Wilco Evo Airbus 2, because it gives an A330 for long distance haulage. But its systems though well modelled are much fewer than the BBS and the VC is warmed over FS9

But it is all about to change.

Both BBS and Aerosoft are racing to get their upgrades out before Christmas. They both appear to be pretty darn good, and for me there is a rationale for having both. BBS has the 319, which is an aircraft very much suited to Europe, while the new Aerosoft X Extended, has the 320 (in fairness as does BBS). Both promise great FBW, and high fidelity systems and Flight Management Computers. For Australia and NZ Jetstar and ANZ operate 320/321s.

Then Flightsim Labs promise us early next year the best of all Airbus 320 sims. FSL made the brilliant Concorde X. I will certainly check it out carefully, and probably find myself with the three.

KInd regards,

Ian McPhail

You missed GoCat (Tiger) who run a fleet of A320's.

As an FTX/orbx fan with NL2000, UK2000 and other european addon sceneries, British airways, Ezyjet and a multitude of other A320 operators would get a good look in too.

777, A320, Q400 and 737NG.... what a formidable fleet.

My current fleet is mostly MD11, 737NG and JS4100. Can't wait till the new airframes come on in.

What do you guys think the cost of the 777 will be? Im betting between 70 nd 85 dollars. My thoughts are because each aircraft gets modeled better than before, so that results in a higher price, and since the 737 is 70, if the price goes up it can't be much more than 10 dollars, because how many will pay 1000+ USD for a 777? I would, but it would take me time to raise the funds, but I would only do it because the 777-200LR is my favorite aircraft, and Im lucky as that is the going to be the base pack.

I imagine it will be priced pretty much the same as the NGX, if it is higher it will only be a small increase.

Any updates on this? I am so anxious to get this plane! and if PMDG is listening, I really hope you guys start developing all your amazing planes over to X-Plane 10. You guys make great looking stuff and I really hope this project is still underway. Hope it will be available soon!

W = Wingtip (I think)

ER = Extended Range

LR = Long Range

LRF = Long Range Freighter

B777-200

B777-200ER = B772

B777-200LRF = B77F/L

B777-200LR = B77L

B777-300

B777-300ER = B77W

I do believe the "W" in "77W" refers to "Worldliner" because this aircraft can fly to any two points in the world nonstop.

Not sure if it was discussed... but anyway, any chance to have it available for FS9 as well? I and I'm sure a lot of users around the world still preferr FS9 instead of FSX... Tks!

It's been done to death and the answer I belive is no, if you search I'm sure you'll find the official answer.

Well 2012 came and went, 2013 will soon be 1/4 gone and I'm still waiting for this tripple seven, I don't think there is a tripple seven in the offing, thinks I better go and dig the garden.

Hi all,

Lord Nibbo, PMDG sponsored the PC Pilot "Flight for Tony" recently and actually gave them one copy of the new 777 to auction, which went for $300 I think. So there really is a 777 and not very far away I would guess. Mr Randazzo spent quite a long while answering everyone's questions about the 777 on the live feed......... Brilliant!

Hope that helps.

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.
