Robert,

Lotus lights? Might as well give me a page to give my credit card info and my email address so you can send me a link for the download. Why wait? Take the money!

Kind regards,

Hi Stephen,

I wouldn't want you to part with cash on account of landing lights only. These kinds of lights are not perfect since they give rise to big problems in very low visibility that are simply unavoidable. Michael at Lotus Sim did a tremendous job on the L-39 and we know what trouble he took - something like 48 separate bitmaps just for one landing light effect!! We want to keep the download reasonable as we have a ton of other new stuff which adds to the overall package, so we use a slightly different method. It's much better than the splash of default lighting but it is not without a few issues, most of which will not be noticed in normal visibility.

I'm posting this because I want to be honest about things.

Kindest regards,

Robert,

I appreciate the caveat, and how there may be a difference between how you produce your landing lights effect and how Michael did his. No problem. It'll look just fine I'm sure, and am looking forward to the complete package. Thank you for the clarification.

Now please stop reading and posting here in this forum and get your nose back to the grindstone so that we can get our hands on this airplane.

Kind regards,

As we came to expect from Realair, they are the undisputed GA masters.. why, they take their time. Do you see Rolls Royce's rolling out and from and automated megafactory? No... it's handcrafted with a lots of fine details, making a HUGE difference.!

you dont just buy a realair aircraft, you own one.. its becoming something personal.. something proud to have to have..

thats how it is for me with each of realair's releases..

Exactly the same with me. Their´s are just must-haves´s (Although I don´t fly GA very often)!

Best regards, Steffen

Stephen, you are a gentleman and shining example of how to moderate, and with an added sophisticated sense of humour. I will get back to the grindstone at your command.

I wonder if we can copy the Lotus lights from the L-39 to all our other planes if it would be possible in the config?

Maybe the L-39 would be worth purchasing even just for this only!

If it was that simple every developer and his dog would be doing it already, the L-39 has been around for a while now and not that many developers have tried and succeeded in copying Lotus Simulations lights. But to answer your question directly Taipan, no it's not possible to just copy the lights to another aircraft, this method has to be built into the model.

Cheers, Andy.

Was worth a try, Interesting to know thanks

Anybody has seen the new screenshot from today? It looks fantastic, makes me want to jump in immediately! Great job on the model, adorable!

I wonder if the "arriving in late May 2012" is still accurate...

I'm starting to wonder myself...

Ciao!

Wow.

Have been away from the forum since last week and just checked out the latest screenshots.

My "other half" isn't a flight sim fanatic (or aviation fan) but I showed him the latest exterior shots of the Lancair and he says, I quote "it looks beautiful" - and he's a professional artist. I think that's a major compliment!

Can't wait for this to be released :)

Regards

Adam
