We apologize that our "PROLOGUE" Version was not to your satisfaction.

Thank you for the condescending reply, obviously "Prologue" has a different meaning to some of us...

Oh dear. This is like watching a slow-mo car crash.

And our point quite plainly was that you stated you received "NO RESPONSE" from our support or Forum.

we simply wished to demonstrate That this was clearly untrue.

You received support within 24 hours by which time the service patch was already compiled and uploaded.

My apologies once more if it was all a little to quick for you ...

Perhaps other readers of this thread should also take note of the following in the interests of Balance and fairness?

These Quotes are from Genuine "BlackBox Airbus Prologue" Customers

"Don't give up nothing, it means you've never seen FSX planes really not working :) This Airbus is great but also very complex. If you read other posts you see a solution is always found or a problem always fixed."

"Already ? you guys are fast !!!"

"Honestly BBS have the best support of any FS developer!"

"Usually when you get an answer you get a "it's your computer, it's your config, reinstall FSX", some of the bugs are fixed after months, and then the development is stopped and you need to wait for the brand new model to start again the process... Will not tell names but we simmer know who. So way to go BBS!"

"some times it is the costumers fault, but can't say anything bad about bbs :) works great for me and have not had any issues so can't speak about support, but am sure it matches the product."

"Thanks BBs my fault, i didn't read the Manual...thanks for this and thanks to your gorgeous airbus!!!"

"BBS your the best FSX customer service out there u have been fixing and contacting with us since the released day many thanks :)"

Ok sir, I'm not going to argue with you, I'm just going to speak with my wallet when your extreme comes out. As I stated, I didn't receive a response EXCEPT for when you said that it was fixed with the latest build. I would also like (since you are basically calling me a liar) to point everyone to my forum post dated June 19th in which BBS didn't reply until the 25th.

Same ole PSS attitude will be skipping this addon for sure.

PROLOGUE is the unfinished article?

That explains a lot.

By its very definition, a prologue implies a beginning or introduction. When I go to their website, they seem to make this clear. Anyone buying a product at this stage shouldn't be surprised at these things. What is genuinely amazing is how hard it is, even a decade after FS2002, to get a decent airbus (of the FBW variety) in FS.

I am an avid globetrotter with my trusty Lufthansa B777F, Polar Air Cargo B744F, and Atlas Air B748F.

Whilst on the subject of decent Airbuses (Airbii?), some of you might like to know that there is a FMC upgrade on the way for the SimCheck A300-B2/B4.

Back on topic however, does anyone know if that, 'having to start with a default FSX aeroplane' limitation is likely to stay, or if it is just a necessity with the BB A320 in its present state?

Airbuses

Airbuses, Al, as it's not a Latin word.

What fab news,Al.Looking forward to this very much. BTW, am thinking of getting the GSX and a couple more 30% reduced airports from FSDT. Just wanted to know if the GSX can be used at any airport or only solely at FSDT airports.

Rick Almeida

GSX works on all of those 26.000 airports, as long as they allow for some ground service in general. Means the grass fields stay free or you would have to cheat a lot with the GSX included editor. But the rest, may it be freeware, default or payware, will work.

But, without the intention to spread rumours, I wonder how Umberto's team will handle a possible win of the Italian soccer team. Big%20Grin.gif Although that 30% discount already is a nice gesture for sure.

And I'm voting for Airbuseses.

Nah, GSX works at all airports, although you will find at very small airports, i.e. tiny dirt strips on Pacific atolls, farm strips and that kind of thing, it will simply say that there's no ground service available, which is of course true, since there would not be much more than a 55 gallon drum and a stirrup pump LOL. But for all other kinds of airports in FS, GSX will give you full ground services, regardless of whether they are default or whether they are payware from any developer.

Such services may not always be truly accurate though, for example, you might be able to call a fuel truck when in reality the actual airport might not allow overwing tanker fueling at that gate.

Thanks Al, and CoolP for that. Now wouldn't it be nice if Umberto did up that 30% to say 45% if Balotelli and mates, specially, the Man-of-The-Tournament so far, Pirlo, did what is quite plausible. Ah, one can dream on.

Never mind Airbuseses, just one on time would do me fine instead of 3 arriving same time as they do in Piccadilly Gdns!

Rick Almeida

Yup, Balotelli might be as mad as a box of frogs, but the boy sure can play. That match on Sunday is going to be a stormer.

It's not that aircraft developers want to be awkward. It's because some already loaded aircraft you might be flying also loaded custom gauges (particularly sound gauges) and possibly other system gauges.Loading a default aircraft can flush these out of memory and make sure the newly loaded addon gets a chance to use the resources it needs.

You can see a demonstration of just how much memory is used by one aircraft: If you load the ifly 737 with the panel/VC showing you'll get between 18 and 30 fps on a reasonably good system. if you go to spot view then reload it, you'll get a staggering increase in fps because the panel stuff is still not loaded just in spot view. On my system, with scenery detail low and no traffic I get up to 250 frames a second. As soon as you go to the VC the fps plummets back down to 30 or less. Then if you go to spot view you'll see around 40-50 at most.

Loading the C172 ensures all that stuff gets flushed out.

Even when he parties he still scores hat tricks lol.

Think he'll be even better when he grows up? :)

Anyway back on topic, while the bbs might one day be a good plane I think I'll wait for the fslabs.
