I agree, the map might be fine for Hawaii but is totally useless for Alaska or any larger area.

That map will make Aerocache hunts........... Interesting.

Im really pleased to see a nice scenery pack at a great price! I however wont buy it unless they release a new aircraft with a cockpit. Even if its an extra Carbon Cub cockpit add-on, something. Ill hold off till that happens. If its just more cockpitless aircraft, I wont support this product further.

It would be nice if they would at least let people know if they will get around to putting a cockpit in the Cub or not. Would it really destroy their marketing to say "yes, we're working on it" or "No, no plans"?

I'm back home write now.... Alaska is huge... Byt i can't find the airport.... Zoom, zoom, but I think we need some search for airfield ar somethig,,, Sorry for my languages :) Its 8:30 PM in Poland and I"m get started in Alaska write now....

What's disappointing is ZERO icing effects.. In winter, in heavy storm, flying through clouds with pitot heat off on the RV6A and ASI never fails.. Perfect lift the entire time, MP never drops (doesn't matter because the Maules Alt Air lever isn't operable anyway). Not nitpicking either.. It's Alaska, the weather plays a crucial part in the performance of the aircraft so I'm failing to understand why they just decided the game didn't need the MOST CRUCIAL weather aspect on aircraft..

ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING / i9-9900k @ 4.7 all cores w/ NOCTUA NH-D15S / 2080ti / 32GB G.Skill 3200 RIPJAWS / 1TB Evo SSD / 500GB Evo SSD /  2x 3TB HDD / CORSAIR CRYSTAL 570X / IPSG 850W 80+ PLATINUM / Dual 4k Monitors

No icing effects.... That's tru.... But fo 15 $ it's its autstanding for me :)

Looks nice but what about missions; are there many to do and are there jobs at airports?

Cheers.

Dave

Don't go and get banned over this. It's great your being consistent as we need that. For me the new scenery and bush aviation is too much to pass up. I used FsCargo in FS9, if we we could get something like that in Flight plus bush AI that would be something.

J van E it's funny reading your terrain comments above. Last I check flying over untouched wilderness is just that, repetative.

Well FSX is not perfect either. I cant even remember if there was any sort of icing effects on the default planes.

I think I myself might have placed that feature fairly low if I was MS right now, as I suspect a large percent of the target demographic would get a crash from icing, then turn off that feature and forget it exists.

Like TrackIR was originally, it might be something that has to be prioritized for later.

I expect things like icing effects will have to wait for things like aircraft damage models and non-ISA weather modeling. :Phbbbt:

There is a huge difference between constantly griping about how much you hate Flight and how its not a sim, and expressing displeasure at the lack of aircraft without cockpits. I also think it would be rather interesting to see them ban a former MS Flight dev from an MS Flight forum. =)

As an aside, if you fly far enough........... :Sleepy:

You do indeed eventually end up flying over Nintendoland, circa 1990.

This brings up the question of what happens if you strike out for Hawaii. I will wait for a report from somebody crazy enough to try it.
