June 27, 201213 yr I created another Canadian Live id but was still not able to purchase it. Be careful with that. I bought the Maule under a different Live ID than Flight was installed with and I was not able to use it and MS wouldn't transfer it or refund my purchase. I ended up having to by it again under the correct ID. Rag Tag Fleet Development Team Member. http://yankeeclippersmobile.com/forum
June 27, 201213 yr Spent 20 minutes on line chat support . Only to figure it out my self. The guy was a door knob. I created another Canadian Live id but was still not able to purchase it. i think there is also a problem downloading it through xbox Canada. Ya I had a little adventure yesterday chatting with an Xbox "ambassador" or whatever. They are not the sharpest tools in the shed, but they ARE tools. I am in the middle of creating a new definitively Canadian Live ID for downloading future free DLC. Out of curiosity, how to I link my new LiveID with my old gamertag? Am I thinking this through correctly?
June 27, 201213 yr Has anyone checked to see if the landclass additions for Alasaka, such as urban grid, have any affect on the Hawaii scenery? Also, is there functional equipment on any of the available planes that can track an NDB? The VOR radios work, but I have not been able to tune for NDBs now or previously.
June 27, 201213 yr I also think and keep my fingers crossed that we will get another plane later on with this alaska release..... there may be a nice bird been cooked on MS devs kitchen ...... Image removed as image is no longer available.
June 27, 201213 yr Being up to date is the problem Yeah, I see. The AFD for PAKT is current AIRAC dates (i.e not current as of today - 27th) Bummer...I'll have to see how different it actually is... JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
June 27, 201213 yr I count 36 feathers. I see many other navaids, even NDBs in Russia and Canada (go figure). Listed approximately south to north, back and forth east-west, physical count of feathers as follows: [..] Thanks Rob! And this makes me even more enthousiastic. Can't wait to check it out tonight  Mark
June 27, 201213 yr is there functional equipment on any of the available planes that can track an NDB? The VOR radios work, but I have not been able to tune for NDBs now or previously. None of the current aircraft have an ADF receiver, so we can't use the NDBs. But I don't think they would have included them if they didn't have something planned.
June 27, 201213 yr I just downloaded the Alaska Wilderness Pack from the Marketplace option in the game. All seems well, but the number or airports is light. And no Unakleet!! The lower airports are there but nothing higher than Fairbanks... no Barrow. Now I am going to do a little exploring. Brian EDIT: Whoops!! They are there, but you can't see them unless you zoom way way in. I landed in Unakleet but there is nothing there. No ERA Alaska, no buildings and no Jim Tweto.

Am I thinking this through correctly? Don't do it....your downloads won't match up. they have us over a bbl. You will have to repurchase everything to get it to sync.

Didn't see any of the Twetos, though.

June 27, 201213 yr You can also download charts for free from the FAA at http://aeronav.faa.gov. I just downloaded one for Anchorage and it looks like the standard VFR chart. Maybe I'll download Hawaii and Alaska and use them on my laptop. Rag Tag Fleet Development Team Member. http://yankeeclippersmobile.com/forum
June 27, 201213 yr But I don't think they would have included them if they didn't have something planned. To expand on this even more, all the GPS waypoints and fixes for navigation and approaches are already in Flight as well. This can be seen by setting the GPS unit in the ICON to show everything (DCLR: 2) and comparing it to sectionals and RNAV approach plates. So the data is there, just not the ability to use it yet.
June 27, 201213 yr You can also download charts for free from the FAA These are the most current charts, which don't jive with a few of the NAVAIDs in Flight. While it sounds like moving one NAVAID is not a big deal, it affects every Victor Airway, every approach, etc... Just as an example, the IAI to KOA switch at Kona changed at least 10 approach plates (and not just for Kona Airport), a few STAR charts, a couple of Victor Airways, and a handful of GPS waypoints and fixes. Multiply that by about 5 and that's probably about the amount of changes you would find caused by the ANC to TED switch at Anchorage since it's a much more congested airspace. I can't emphasize this enough, but going forward, Flight and the FAA publications will get more and more out of sync as changes in the real world occur, so the minute a new locale is announced, grab all the publications you can find post haste and hope there are no changes from the ones the Flight team is using. I have brought this up with the Flight team and got radio silence, so presumably there will be no in game updates to NAVAIDs to keep things current.
June 27, 201213 yr if anyone has the time and can do me a favor to post a picture of how the end of the scenery looks like towards the south were the area covered by the alaska pack looks like ????? i was just wondering if it looks faded out or just the blury textures we get with uncovered terrain on it may say coming soon.???? Its just undulating landscape covered with trees that goes on for miles and miles and miles and........ :lazy: Bring emergency supplies and a distress beacon for when your plane runs out of fuel.
