July 13, 201213 yr "Crash here too win7-64..... How could they release it....enough is enough i'm going back to FSX" $80 down the drain, i feel your pain :( Moi c'est fait depuis hier ;-) Retour à FSX
July 13, 201213 yr Those of you who fly XP as your primary sim, what are you seeing as far as improvements? I was able to work through the usb device issues although I am needing to continually recalibrate. Just curious as this release has been in the works now for quite awhile I believe. July 13, 201213 yr Hello again, I did some more testing on my system. I connected my CH pro Throttle, and Fighter Stick USB and again so far no issues.. it could be possible that my system is a two week old install, dont know. Will continue to play around with it and report what I can.
July 13, 201213 yr 10.10 working for me ! Win 7 64bit I think the crashes have something do with the plugins. Try moving the plugins if your having issues. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
July 13, 201213 yr I have moved all the plugins out and I still get a crash if any joystick of any type is plugged in. Any and all combinations of my Saitek rudder pedals, quadrants and HOTAS WH joystick will cause it to crash. I can load it without anything plugged in but the moment I plug any of the above in it crashes again. I never had any problems with crashing before this and I haven't used XP for months either so its not like I've loaded the sim up with loads of add-ons or anything like that. Cheers, Andy.
July 13, 201213 yr Hello All I have issues with my joystick, all axis are all over the place, but no crashes. I have looked at the night lighting with HDR on and it looks very good, can't wait until the contoller issues are sorted out. Luckily I have two installs of X-plane10, one for Gizmo and one for SASL, so one of these is still on the old RC so still able to fly. I have sent a bug report regarding the joystick problems, I am sure they are on it and trying to get this sorted for everyone. Regards Simon
July 13, 201213 yr If you don't use nor are interested in X-Plane, please don't write in this forum only to be a troll. Thank you for your cooperation. Please don't take this as "Trolling". Be assured that my main and favorite sim is X-Plane since 2 years. I've sent my bug reports to LR yesterday. I need to simulate some lessons for my PPL but I can't with this beta version, so I decide to simply wait for a more stable version and give it a try. But meanwhile I need to sim with "another sim" Sorry for any offenses. Anyway, i,ve just realized that I've replied to the wrong person
July 13, 201213 yr But meanwhile I need to sim with "another sim" If you did not backup your previous X-Plane version you can still reinstall X-Plane 10.05: just disable the "beta" check-box inside the Installer. http://www.x-plane.com/downloads/x-plane_10_installer-updater/ In the future always backup before updating, or test a new version on a demo or on copy of your X-Plane folder. Happy flying. ^_^ Georges - OpenStreetMap - Ubuntu GNU/Linux -

Though, you'll understand that quoting "$80 down the drain" and saying "Back to FSX" conveys an hostile attitude here. Anyway, back to topic. Columbia 400 is nice. My 10.10 crashes as well, but only if/when joystick is plugged. Performance with clouds seems significantly better on my ATI card. Funky clouds with HDR on though: "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 13, 201213 yr Has anyone figured out what the improvements are for the P180 avanti? Release notes state: Piaggo Avanti updated to be really nice, and is our default airplane for now. It all looks, sounds and operates the same to me. Even the control yokes still show XPlane 9. And those visors are still in the way. It's certainly not the same as this modified version (scroll down a bit): http://xsimreviews.com/2012/07/10/xp10reviews-11-july-2012/
July 13, 201213 yr If you don't use nor are interested in X-Plane, please don't write in this forum only to be a troll. Thank you for your cooperation. French troll on top of that. I love the french language and all, but have something USEFULL to say. And for all those who are complaining about the BETA not working right: FREAKING DUH!!! They remade a lot of underlying stuff like the joystick system is completely new. It will have issues that they didn't test for in their limited hardware setup that we all in the vast world we live in have many different choices. Instead of saying that XP and LR are CRAP for not getting it right the first time out, DON'T get the BETA, wait for a stable release only. You will hear of the improvements being made, but will have to wait for Austin to say that enough people are having no issues with the current feature set before you will get them and THAT version should work flawlessly for your setup as it has been thoroughly tested by the many other users that ARE WILLING to have things screw up randomly as they add and change features and find out where the code is screwy. Funky clouds with HDR on though: Oh I see and I did not mean it, but I admit you're right. I should have been more explicit on my reply. If you did not backup your previous X-Plane version you can still reinstall X-Plane 10.05: just disable the "beta" check-box inside the Installer. http://www.x-plane.c...taller-updater/ In the future always backup before updating, or test a new version on a demo or on copy of your X-Plane folder. July 14, 201213 yr Not sure. Deleting preferences is the exact same thing as deleting the FSX.cfg file. Restarting the sim just rebuilds them. I'm curious as to who has what plug ins installed that may be causing these crashes. Many plug ins are still "experimental" when it comes to XP10. There are quite a few people that need to get this "10.10 isn't working and this is not good for Laminar" mentality out of their head. This is a Beta of 10.10. Not a stable release. If you don't want the beta, and you don't want to risk the bugs, uncheck the beta option in the installer and re-run the updater. It should revert back to 10.05. Yes, I know. This is what I ended up doing because I found 10.10 worse on my iMac 27 other than a bit more FPS in spots and the Vram usage in my rendering settings. It was using LESS vram than the same settings i had in 5b1 Robdrums
