July 28, 201213 yr Hello It's nothing new, just ask a few PSS customers, I lost a lot when they ran away.
July 28, 201213 yr The only thing I feel "cheated" about is aerocaches. Advertised as a feature of Alaska, they weren't even in the game until basically 3 weeks after launch. And then the game gets canned. I'd like to see the rest of the aerocaches at least make it to the in-game interface. Other than that, I have no interest in getting a refund. As long as they keep releasing what's left of the aotds, I'll be happy.
July 28, 201213 yr Moderator The aerocache of the day continues to work, and will for the foreseeable future. There are at least two people we know of who'll continue to provide support for Flight. July 28, 201213 yr Isn't this scenario a little different than the one with PSS? You can still install Flight and play with all the DLC you have bought. I don't understand why some are acting like their software isn't working anymore. I do understand why people are upset. It seems like Flight was more about the expectations of the future than what's there now.
July 28, 201213 yr I don't think that MS owes anyone anything honestly. I am not sticking up for them or anything but look at the addons you have now. There are most I am sure that patches and updates have stopped coming. They are dead addons that are no longer worked on. Flight was never for sale. They gave a game for free and sold separate DLC. That is all. PMDG has a JS4100 I bought and they don't/wont update it anymore. It is a dead addon. Same thing. This whole situation just had bad timing, but nothing was ever guaranteed or promised. The DLC ran its course and is over, granted, in a short time, but it is dead just like a majority of FSX addons now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk William Sequeira
July 28, 201213 yr How is requesting a refund logical? Didn't you get what you were promised? Did they promise tons of things, made everyone invest in them and than pulled out? No, you just paid what you were given. Simple as that. Agreed! asking for a refund never even crossed my mind. How many here have aircraft that cost what all the Flight DLC combined cost they hardly use? I work in retail management and I am always amazed at what some customers expect. I had a customer today brought back a perishable product he bought over 2 weeks ago and said it was now bad, well yeah, considering it was sliced fresh and only lasts a few days, what did you expect? He was actually surprised i wouldn't do it, unbelievable! Sad thing is, you do it once for someone they totally take advantage of that. Best, Michael KDFW
July 28, 201213 yr Funny,we have people on one thread talking about raising millions to make a new flight Sim, and on another thread wanting to lawyer up and go after MS for a few dollars. LOL Sent from my SGH-T679 using Tapatalk 2

No, you just paid what you were given. Simple as that. I'm not in favor of getting a refund by ANY means, I love flight. That said...if you really want to get down to it. https://news.microso...wilderness.aspx We were indeed promised things that still aren't in game; mainly new jobs (a bit ironic, isn't it?). Now we can argue over what "new" means (and the context of it), but you have to agree that some people would be mislead by such statements. Overall I don't care though, I really enjoy flight and will continue to enjoy it over the next few months. It seems with almost any kind of video game....there will always be people who believe they are entitled to a refund; tis a sad state of the world.
July 28, 201213 yr We got exactly what we paid for and were entitled to. Microsoft promided nothing beyond that. the EULA (which we all agreed to) has an "Entire Agreement" clause. The only promises that matter are those in the EULA - can you find them? Gerry Howard
July 28, 201213 yr Hi all, I'm disappointed also that Flight is closed up. I got what I paid for and my plan for revenge against MS is to find lots of places to explore in Alaska in my deluxe model Cub and get much more than my money's worth in enjoyment and flying challenges. But that's just me. If you feel that you were burned, you're free to pursue any compensation you choose.

The only promises that matter are those in the EULA - can you find them? It's an even sadder day when people are using EULAs to defend corporations that fire entire teams on a whim. For once, can we have a discussion about what's right, versus what license agreements say? Way too many people cling to laws. I'm not in favor of getting a refund; I'm debating what's right versus wrong. If you read my post completely, you can tell by the nature of it that I'm not here to debate contracts. I'm trying to have a reasonable discussion about what Microsoft said we were getting with Alaska. I guess that was my first problem though; expecting to have a reasonable discussion with people online. Hi all, I'm disappointed also that Flight is closed up. I'm not quite sure why everyone felt the need to jump ship after it was canned. It's not like we'd be getting any more content for at least another month at the minimum.
July 29, 201213 yr I don't want a refund. I want another year and a half of Flight development and DLC. While it's not legally binding, there was an implied promise that Flight would be around that long, with Mr. Howard's stated two year roadmap. The whole thing about Flight wasn't just what we already had, it was what we would get in the future. It was always possible that Microsoft would pull the plug, but no one who enjoyed flight expected this to happen after only one additional area to fly in and one additional deluxe plane. There is some possibility that one more plane will be released. They might as well, as it's probably already finished, but I don't know how many people would buy it. If it turns out to be my favorite plane, I'll definitely buy it and probably fly it in Flight for another year. After reading about how Microsoft has had internal problems and some mis-management, I don't suppose this should have surprised anyone. It's a shame, really. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! July 29, 201213 yr Maybe I should ask for a refund for my copy of Windows 95 too. Hello If they give you that, I am first in line with my copy of ME
July 29, 201213 yr I see a lot of posts in this topic about getting money back for what microsoft pulled.. yet most places have policies preventing this.. In my opinion, I think that people should fight for a refund.. the more the better, and then in the future more companies will think against the "hit and run" tactic which is so commonplace today. Hype it, release half done product, take the money and run..
