Considering the Avro only ever had the one type of MCP, I think that's a no. ;)

The only negative I see is lack of a wing view.

It has wing views, quite a few actually

OK, thanks... I've been wanting a regional AC for some time now. Looks like this may well join my NGX at EGGD!

Does anyone have a performance FPS comparison to the JF BAE146? I'm still deciding which version is the one to get. On paper QW seems the better of the two but perhaps more of a systems demand.

Thanks

I've not flown it yet as I'm working through the manuals, but sitting on the ramp on a cloudy day and panning around the outside indicated no stutters or drop in fluidity whatsoever. I think this aircraft will be extremely friendly to machines, despite it's in depth systems simulations.

Likely by the end of the year you will have the option to go with the Honeywell FMC though. That's the same one used in the 737 NG so it will aid on commonality between aircraft.

I had the JF/CLS model and it lasted less than 24hrs before deleting it and asking for a refund as I found it very lacking for my liking

so far I found with this that it has a lot higher FPS, its sharper, 100% FMC or lite version, better VC textures and the 2d panels are sharper and very tidy

only draw back so far is the lack of paints, but that will change after the PK is released

people have made reference to the Pilots in the model, they have posted on their forums its about right with people referencing pic and confirming the model is about spot on

I find this one to be the better one of the pair, but thats my call

If you do get the model , i suggest you go to their forums and have a sniff around there

c'mon guys... I'm trying to resist here, after having folded under the Milviz sale. Stop adding screenshots. It's making it worse... What liveries are out for it? I couldn't find a list, other than there will be ~60 when the 146 is out. A Cobham one from Oz might be the deal... erm... maker.

As Dave said, let's have some screenies and some objective comparisons with the NGX, we want it NOW!

Sorry for the noobness, but are these pretty common to see in the UK? How many regional flights are done with this plane? I love having common planes and using the same planes that are used on real world routes, and if this plane is similar to a dash 8 here in the US or even in the UK I may consider getting it to hold me over until Majestic releases their Q400.

Thanks Guys. I think i'm going to get this one. Looks really nice, i've been waiting for an aircraft such as this. First impressions seem quite good overall.

Seems like you have to register your purchase over at QW forums to get support etc which is fair enough i suppose.

Kind Regards

Simon.

@R Dawson

They are becoming a lot less common these days I'm afraid. They are expensive to operate and apparently have high maintenance costs. I see (from what I can find on the web) that Flybe has got rid of theirs. You will likely see these showing up a bit more now as cargo machines. But that all said, they are hard to beat if you need jet service to smaller airports with steeper descent profiles. Even the 100 series only requires 3500 feet if the runway is dry and as you can see from the video above your post, it can handle steep approaches quite well. It will likely outperform the Q400 from that standpoint (not the Q100 or 300 though). Unfortunately, I just don't know when Majestic will be done their machine. It's been in development for many years now. I understand it's now in Alpha, but that could still mean a year or more away. I hope I'm wrong because I want it very badly, but I'm not holding my breath. It'll be a no-brainer when it does come out, but the big question is when.

I'm not sure I was much help, but so far I'm really pleased with the QW RJ and am looking forward to actually flying it.

Glenn

I think this type is very common sight here in Europe. Just do a search in Airliners.net.
