October 3, 201213 yr Wow, amazing. It's FSNav on steroids!!! Might be useful for planning, i'll have a go and try it. EDIT: I'm trying it right now and boy, does this bring up memories... hehehehe. The author made it so it looks exactly like FSNAV but much improved, job well done. October 3, 201213 yr hmmmm...this looks promising...id like to know more about its features though...but it sure did remind me of good ol fsnav
October 3, 201213 yr Author Oh damn i'm so disappointed. seems you can't use it in fullscreen mode without issues. that was the beauty of Fsnavigator. steve-0 REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett
October 3, 201213 yr Works here in full screen... October 3, 201213 yr What kinda resource amount does this use? I know that EFB hit my older system pretty good when it was on moving map following my flight. I would buy this, but I want to be able to make sure it won't bog down my system with it running open, along with my other pop-ups. I know their is a free trial, but it would be nice if someone could chime in anyways without me maybe wasting my time. Thanks! William Sequeira
October 3, 201213 yr Interesting! The fine print at the bottom of the home page says "Impressum: Helge Schroeder" - and he is the guy who made FSNav!! Could this be a rebirth? Does anyone who tried it know if you can run it on a network? I was doing fine with Plan-G as a replacement, but the new version 3.0 just doesn't work for me, so I'd be very interested in FS Tramp if it can be networked. Cheers Jack Jack Johnston
October 3, 201213 yr Could this be a rebirth? Does anyone who tried it know if you can run it on a network? Hello It runs as a module within FSX so cannot be networked. I was doing fine with Plan-G as a replacement, but the new version 3.0 just doesn't work for me Try FSCommander, runs fine on a network. http://www.fscommander.com/
October 3, 201213 yr What do all these programs do that Skyvector doesn't? Now that skyvector has charts in the rest of the world what more could you need? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
October 3, 201213 yr Thanks, Mad Dog - good to know that it cannot be networked. I do actually have FS Commander (version 8 though, not the latest) - but it never really left me smiling the way FS Nav always did. Also have the Aivlasoft EFB, but to be honest I spend too much time in GA aircraft and not enough in the tubeliners to get enough out of this. Am hoping that i can get some time in the next few months to change that pattern though as I am thoroughly enjoying the QW RJ series. Jack Jack Johnston
October 3, 201213 yr What do all these programs do that Skyvector doesn't? Hello Ryan Can Skyvector create flight plans including Sids and Stars and export them to 3rd party addons, act as a moving map, even give you a top down overview of the airport to aid taxiing, show Ai and Vatsim/IVAO traffic. I have never used Skyvector, what will it give me over FSCommander ?
October 3, 201213 yr Skyvector.com is free for one thing. You can't export flight plans but I do all my route planning with it. I don't need a moving map because I've got RXP GPS. For top down view I simply use F12. For vatsim traffic I use Vatspy. Skyvector is mainly route planning but it will show sigmets and TFR's along the way. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
