October 25, 201213 yr Just purchased Opus weather engine and tested it with a flight to Innsbruck. This will now replace AS2012. Regards Craig Nice pictures, but did you compare your flight to real-world weather at the time, wind, cloud layer, precipitation and so on?
October 25, 201213 yr Author I did for the departure and arrival but not for en-route. I will have a look at work tomorrow though. Regards Craig
October 25, 201213 yr Nice pictures, but did you compare your flight to real-world weather at the time, wind, cloud layer, precipitation and so on? My weather is always bang on, compared to NOAA, hich is where they get their data from.
October 25, 201213 yr Great shots! I am somewhat back flightsimming thanks to Opus. Such immersion compared to AS2012 and REX-E.
October 25, 201213 yr Author First post to say don't buy opus. I'm intrigued.....do you know something I don't? If so please tell. Cheers Craig.
October 25, 201213 yr OPUS - one advice..dont buy it...for now.... There's always one in every crowd. I'm waiting to see if Rex Essentials Overdrive is going to be any good before purchasing OPUS, but by the looks of those pics, maybe I won't wait. Those shots with the low lying clouds in the valleys are fantastic. jime James D. Edwards
October 25, 201213 yr How about integration with VatSim weather? Sometimes it is a bit off real world, does OPUS download from VatSim the way AS2012 does? Edward Smoker Sr.
October 25, 201213 yr Commercial Member OPUS - one advice..dont buy it...for now.... Somewhat odd that someone as a first time poster is going to offer a one liner without a valid explanation. I would not consider anything else said credible. October 25, 201213 yr I wasn't really looking for a new weather engine when I bought OpusFSX (instead, my interest was in having an alternative to EZDOK), but now that I've experienced Opus's weather (combined with REX textures), I'm sold. Much better than the REX weather engine, in my opinion. (Maybe Mr. First Time Poster is a REX programmer...)
October 25, 201213 yr How about integration with VatSim weather? Sometimes it is a bit off real world, does OPUS download from VatSim the way AS2012 does? I don't believe they currently integrate with VatSim but it is in the works. Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024
