October 29, 201213 yr Author Coming right for us here in Allentown, Pa. In 2 hours (3 PM), it's supposed to start getting strong...then continuing through tomorrow. Loss of power is a big concern, and I have enormous trees on my property next to the house. Hopefully, we'll all get through this safely. Stan The trees are a double threat. Both to houses, and to the power grid. We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. During Irene, we had a short scare and were without power for about an hour, one of the sump pits just started to flood. Now I have a battery on that one and a small generator. 10700k / Gigabyte 3060

October 29, 201213 yr Here is the shore right now... This is my last trip to the beach today. 5 minutes outside and I was soaked and freezing... Can't believe the temperature change!! Winds are 70mph + now, it was tough to stand and walk when the gusts blew so I had to abort filming. Could barely keep the lens clean anyway but it gives you an idea of what it is like on the shore... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
October 29, 201213 yr Commercial Member Well guys I am on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (just outside of Salisbury, MD), and we have been getting steady rain since last night. the winds have started picking up with recorded gusts of about 53knot so far. The winds should begin intensifying by about 7pm and continue on into tomorrow. All of the flying in the NorthEast has been canceled (except for the hurricane hunters). To all of my fellow simmers that will be affected, either by the hurricane or the snow storm that will be affecting the PA, WV area, my prayers go out to you and your families as well. Not sure how long my power will remain on as there over 3000 folks in the Salisbury, MD area that have already reported loosing power.
