November 28, 201213 yr Just a side note to this tragedy. The plane, in numerous news sources is being listed as a Van's RV6.........because of the FAA database records. It's actually a one of a kind........that was built with different model parts, and has a different main spar setup, as well as the rear attach points. I'm just pointing this out, because I've been involved around Van's experimental homebuilts for many years. I also built & own a RV-6. L.Adamson
November 28, 201213 yr So sorry to hear about this. It sounds like he lived as fruitfully as one could though - doing what he loved. Best wishes to you, and especially his family.
November 28, 201213 yr Very sorry to hear that. My sincerest condolences to you and to his family. Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)
November 28, 201213 yr Excellent thoughts, poems, wishes. Stephen, just getting to know you here and everyone else. It's always hard to take this sort of thing. I am grateful we have such a wonderful place to gather and share. Thanks for running such a wonderful site where these things are possible. May the Lord bring you comfort, understanding, healing, and warmth during the next days, weeks, and months to come. God Bless you and your family, and Jeff's family and loved ones during this trying time. As Jeff shared his Faith with you we can take solice and comfort to know he is being well cared for and Jeff is in a place of great rest and peace. Respectfully, Jet
November 28, 201213 yr At least he spent his last moments doing something he loved. At some point when you know all hope is lost, you just let go of the stick and have a big old grin knowing your about to get your wings... I'd rather die flying than of old age. David Smith "A mile of road will take you a mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere!"
November 28, 201213 yr I understand the sentiment but, quite honestly, their last moments, as you put it, must have been the most terrifying of their lives. There is nothing romantic about loss of life. R.I.P Jeff and Timothy Are you kidding, I mean flying of coarse not crashing his plane <_<
November 30, 201213 yr Author To all, Thank you all for your thoughts, sympathies and prayers for Jeff's family. I drove from New Brunswick to Boston overnight and caught an early flight to LAX and then up to PDX. There will be both a funeral service on Saturday and another memorial service on Sunday. I will pass on your condolences to His family and friends at each. Kind regards
