P3D when its freezing in Quebec....well, that's most of the time...
C-GDXL based at CYQB for real flying when its warming up...

Very sorry to hear about this Stephen. Your friends on here are with you during this difficult time. Always sad to hear the loss of a pilot but if any comfort he went doing something he loved.

I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

Stephen,

Very sorry to hear of your loss. My prayers are with your friend and his family.

Just a side note to this tragedy. The plane, in numerous news sources is being listed as a Van's RV6.........because of the FAA database records.

It's actually a one of a kind........that was built with different model parts, and has a different main spar setup, as well as the rear attach points.

I'm just pointing this out, because I've been involved around Van's experimental homebuilts for many years. I also built & own a RV-6.

So sorry to hear about this. It sounds like he lived as fruitfully as one could though - doing what he loved. Best wishes to you, and especially his family.

Very sorry to hear that. My sincerest condolences to you and to his family.

Excellent thoughts, poems, wishes. Stephen, just getting to know you here and everyone else. It's always hard to take this sort of thing. I am grateful we have such a wonderful place to gather and share. Thanks for running such a wonderful site where these things are possible. May the Lord bring you comfort, understanding, healing, and warmth during the next days, weeks, and months to come. God Bless you and your family, and Jeff's family and loved ones during this trying time. As Jeff shared his Faith with you we can take solice and comfort to know he is being well cared for and Jeff is in a place of great rest and peace.

Respectfully,

Jet

At least he spent his last moments doing something he loved.

At some point when you know all hope is lost, you just let go of the stick and have a big old grin knowing your about to get your wings...

I'd rather die flying than of old age.

"A mile of road will take you a mile. A mile of runway will take you anywhere!"

I understand the sentiment but, quite honestly, their last moments, as you put it, must have been the most terrifying of their lives. There is nothing romantic about loss of life.

Are you kidding, I mean flying of coarse not crashing his plane

To all,

Thank you all for your thoughts, sympathies and prayers for Jeff's family. I drove from New Brunswick to Boston overnight and caught an early flight to LAX and then up to PDX. There will be both a funeral service on Saturday and another memorial service on Sunday. I will pass on your condolences to His family and friends at each.

Kind regards

Sorry to hear that :-(

It has been a few months now since Jeff passed, but a picture just surfaced with him and I together for the last time a month before he passed, and the last one just after. Time for closure.

Kind regards,

My heart and prayers go out to you and the family in this time of loss. Cpt. Out.

Best Regards,

Robert J McGill
