December 20, 201213 yr It happened in 2012, when Santa Claus applied a fix for too high ground friction. ^_^ Lol André
December 20, 201213 yr Before I have to mail it to everyone, where to put it for download? any suggestions? I dont know if it can be uploaded to the library, meaning if avsim allows it? Go ahead and upload to library. Just make sure to read the upload rules page carefully specifically about including a read me with your contact info for support. Otherwise people email AVSIM asking for advice on how to use/tweak your addon (or in this case your document lol) Sincerely, Chase My 2017 Build: Liquid Cooled i7 7700K CPU idle @ 4.2GHz | MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G | 16GB's DDR4 4000 RAM | ASUS 27" 144hz Gaming Monitor | MSI Z270 M7 Motherboard | Windows 10 | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB SSD
December 20, 201213 yr That file is named DynamicFriction.lua and is part of the Lua Plugins Package located here: http://forum.simflig...and-wideclient/ Assuming you have FSUIPC installed (and you should) -- Download the Lua Plugins Package zip file and unzip one of the contained files, DynamicFriction.lua, into your FSX/Modules folder Open your FSUIPC4.ini file in Notepad and edit it to include this entry: [Auto] 1=Lua DynamicFriction (This assumes that you want to automatically enable this .lua file only; otherwise, number the new entry accordingly) That's it, I believe. Muchas Gracias, this was very helpful. Can't wait to see how this works in the sim. Unregistered users of FSUIP4 must use the latest installed of FSUIP and then add the latest FSUIPC4 module ( FSUIPC4.859m ) and only need to add the following entry under the [general] section of the ini file. [General] PatchSIM1friction=Yes UNREGISTERED fsuip will NOT ever read any lua file.
December 24, 201213 yr Hi all, FSUIPC4, Version 4.859m I keep getting the following error in the registered FSUIPC logfile: 734 SIM1 Frictions access gained 734 Hook Error: can't find .37 in SIM1.dll 734 Hook Error: can't find .37 in VISUALFX.dll It seems that the frictions patch is not working in this case, right? I have re-installed FSUIPC and get the same messages. What can I do to make it work? Thanks in advance, Nick
December 24, 201213 yr I just saw this post and was well worth skimming through- thanks to everyone for their work and research into this. Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.

I think FSUIPC requires the release version of the FSX dll files to be present in order to work. December 24, 201213 yr How can you be sure you have installed this ok, just taxing and braking cant seem to notice any difference. Whats best way to check the tweak is setup ok. cheers
December 24, 201213 yr just taxing and braking cant seem to notice any difference. Whats best way to check the tweak is setup ok. It only affects dry pavement. You'll still get the original effects on wet, snow or ice. If you're not experiencing a difference on dry pavement, pretend your 737 is a Formula 1 car. If you're keeping reasonable taxi speeds, you shouldn't see much difference, except maybe in a reduced takeoff roll. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! Hook alright thanks for that , was testing at normal taxi speeds, Time to get in the MythBusters Team to check this one out.
December 25, 201213 yr Of course, if anyone has better settings, please tell us all! I guess we'll find out with Accu-Feel version 2.0 which will include a modification for side forces. I actually got the DC-3 to skid at Salt Lake City the other day. I don't know what the surface was, but I suspect it was ice. I was intentionally taxiing faster than normal, 14 knots, and entered a turn. I couldn't get a skid at that speed on dry pavement; I know, I've tried. Keep in mind that in a large aircraft, you're taxiing faster than you think. Taxi speed should be "a brisk walk". The only better setting I can recommend is 12 knots on the straight, no more than 8 knots when turning, and less in inclement conditions. The way you know you're taxiing too fast is that you're skidding. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
