January 6, 201313 yr Does anyone know how this works with the turbulence effects in OpusFSX? After a first test - great.
January 6, 201313 yr Does anyone know how this works with the turbulence effects in OpusFSX? My question too. The both create turbulence effects so which is best to switch off or leave on? Aren't Opus' effects linked to the current weather conditions/altitude etc? Thanks.
January 6, 201313 yr Does anyone know how this works with the turbulence effects in OpusFSX? This popped up on our forums and heres what I wrote just pasted in for quickness; "Hello, spoke to Stephen briefly tonight(via email) looks like this will simply be user preference. Opus uses its weather engine to define movement in camera and aircraft in sync. Stephen was worried about the sync he has created between his movements and the turb etc. Accu:feel enhances rather than makes it up so if a user wants to run both at the same time they should be ok. The movements of aircraft in Accu:feel v2 turb setting is based on our real world flying experiences and feedback of our pilot team of the larger and or vintage aircraft they have/do fly. We have made sure that it can be turned on/off (and even tweaked via a slider) as required by the user for what they feel is right for there immersion and simulated flight needs. It will only be the turb area that might want tweaking for some users with OPUS all other features should be fine including all the shake rattle and roll that is included in Accu:feel and the byond Accu:feel effects of our normal Accu-sim aircraft which are being used just fine right now with hundreds of OPUS and A2A customers. If this changes at all we will let people know. Thanks Lewis - A2A" A2A thread; http://www.a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=33234
January 6, 201313 yr Do we need to uninstall the old version first or install the new one as an update? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 Alexander Colka
January 6, 201313 yr Hello Alex, you can just install the new one. If your a v1 user you can just purchase the upgrade pack for $5 which will update you to v2.
January 6, 201313 yr A word of caution. If you've been using Accu-Feel version 1, your previous settings will be loaded when you call up the menu in Accu-Feel version 2. If you hit the button to reset to the defaults, just to see what they are, they appear to be saved even if you hit the cancel button without hitting Save and Exit. Moral: If you've customized some aircraft, write down the settings before hitting the Default button. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! January 6, 201313 yr Commercial Member Sweet! Thanks A2A. Cheers jja Jim Allen[email protected]SkyPilot Software home of FSXAssist / P3DAssist
January 7, 201313 yr I can't get turbulence effects in the RV or any other planes for that matter using Opus FSX and Accufeel V2. Only very subtle effects even with the turbulence sliders at max, but nothing like the promo video from A2A(had REXE before Opus and even REXE's turbulence effects worked better than this). Got really dissapointed, Im using Opus FSX anyone experienced the same?
January 7, 201313 yr can't get turbulence effects in the RV or any other planes for that matter using Opus FSX and Accufeel V2. You'll need to be somewhere with at least moderate turbulence to have an effect like in the video. I could be wrong.... Hook Larry Hookins Oh! January 7, 201313 yr Yes I also dont see this doing much took off for a quick flight landed the ngx and get this error message something going on with opus and accufeel Rich Sennett
January 7, 201313 yr Excellent upgrade to this wonderful program. 1000% better with a Force Feedback joystick like the Microsoft FF2. Wow! Now you can really feel those touchdowns. They mean something. Stan
January 7, 201313 yr Yes I also dont see this doing much took off for a quick flight landed the ngx and get this error message something going on with opus and accufeel <_< Yeah, I've seen that screen to often now especially when setting the turb effects on 100% even in the default Cessna 172. And Hook I have tried some predefined wheather settings where I know there is lot of turbulence just to make sure, but still not much movements. Tried flying through clouds, disabled opus and used the native FSX wheather pretty much tried everything except REXE(Don't want to intall it just yet as I like Opus)...Im really started to get frustrated with this.
January 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member Accu-Feel turbulence is a turbulence enhancer. It can be quite strong though, but you have to have turbulence to start with. Just set turbulence in FSX to Moderate or Heavy, and you can increase the Accu-Feel Global Turbulence slider if you want to increase the intensity. You will also hear it as well. That error code happens if you move the Clear-Air Turbulence slider to the extreme right (100). Just have it between 0-99 to work (we will remedy this in an update). Also, be aware that Clear-Air Turbulence is a rare event, which is what makes it dangerous. Here you are, just moving along at a high cruise speed and without any warning, BANG BANG BANG you start getting knocked around. I believe the default position, 50, is every 4 hours. All the way right (99) is about once an hour. These are averages as this is all random. It can happen more or less in any position. This is a risk all pilots have to live with, especially when nearing VNE (never exceed speed). Scott.
