I would buy the 757 it's a legend. I can't believe PMDG to not develop the plane because business is business.

Like I heard from a TV show "You snooze you loose"

PMDG has many irons in the fire, and they know their industry rather well. They get paid to make good decisions, otherwise they wouldn't be as successful as they are.

Boy, I'd be willing to pay quite some buck for a NGX-quality buiness jet like a Dassault Falcon or a Bombardier Global.

This /\ is what id like, even if it was to js41 standards, a falcon 5o. global express, or the holy grail: the G4 Sp!

bad comparison really..

We have multiple screens of the T7, and I have yet to see one of the LVLD 757..

There is one at the simforums of the panel, actually...

I'm not really sure why people aren't clammering for PMDG to do the 787. It's a cutting edge airplane with an amazing avionics package, dual Head-Up Displays, new technologies in terms of electrical, pneumatics, ice protection, etc. The 757 has been one of my favorite airliners since it was introduced NEARLY THIRTY YEARS AGO! However, it would be a step back from PMDG's upcoming T7. I'd really love to see what PMDG could do with the 787 and just how accurately that they could produce that composite bird!

I received the LVLD 767 on my 13th birthday. In the Operations Manual that came with it, there was a page saying that the LVLD 757 was "coming soon". Nowadays, I'm going to be turning 20 and there is still no information on it. From a business perspective, it doesn't make sense to me to not produce something because someone else 'claims' they are going to produce it. It's been over 7 years. As my economics professor said, "When there is a demand for something, you need to act on it and produce."

From an economics standpoint there wasn't much point in them trying to produce a competing 757; it's good for the consumer, not for LVLD/PMDG. Plus there were plenty of other aircraft which had just as much a demand, so it does make sense that PMDG decided against developing a 757.

Hi,

Had the opportunity to fly the PMDG 777 and 757

You must be speaking about another developer? Or I will have to find these products!

Cheers.

Clearly no. It was a PMDG product for Terminal Reality Fly2 program. I have the T7 on my computer, I have too probably the only one PMDG's scenery "PMDG Greek Airports"

My apologies!

I'm not native English speaker and I have misread you post.

I hadn't got that these products were for Fly2 at the beginning.

Cheers.

I fully believe they should develop the 757 and 767 down the road. I understand and respect keeping the developer base alive, but LevelD has been absent too long from any significant advance or presence and the QW isn't yet at the level of PMDG - and this is a competitive marketplace. So while PMDG has and will do what they feel is appropriate, if I had a say in the matter I would recognize that you are not making use of competitive advantage by not leveraging all the development of the 737 effort. The 757 and 767 would be more than just marginal sales - I think they would sell as many of each as they did the 737.

In my case I am becoming much more select in what aircraft I add to the virtual hangar - but I will buy every aircraft PMDG issues.

I can't answer the question because it will not reflect my answer.

If PMDG decided to produce the 757 of course - but there are several versions of that model like the 767, and what about the DC-8 or Airbus 350 and the B787?

And not to forget to mention we have the problem with the Airbuses, which haven't been properly simulated yet, ..well the small A319-321 seem to have a decent simulation now.

But a proper A340-500! or a A380 with everything to the detail

Airbuses and flight simulation - have been a mess always :t0103:

And there have been some 4-5 companies trying to make a A320 seriously :p0504:

Not been easy and not released even-though the projects have been presented.

Sad - I hope the people involved are alright.

It's already been said that until level d officially announces the cancelation of their 757, PMDG isn't going to touch it.

It's been said in numerous threads by Tabs and yet the exact same threads keep popping up.

We can wish all we want but the reality is pretty clear for now.

I think FS Labs will be the only serious Airbus developer out there, the rest are ether focusing on light products or they failed altogether but as for the A350 I think it may be a while before we get that since the real jet hasn't even flown yet lol One bus is filled with so many annoying bugs that its obvious that beta testing was very rushed. They claim that no FS product can be released bug free and while that is true there were a few problems that are very obvious and major that were not addressed prior to release (when I bought the initial version it was practically unflyable due to some waypoint glitches).

As for the 757 I respect PMDG's attempts to not stomp on other people's turf but at the same time I operate under the you snooze you lose mode.

A<380 love at first flight

My view on Airbuses, in terms of FS development, is that if the FBW systems aren't going to be as fully simulated as possible, the product is going to have issues (and really not be worth it). If FSLabs can't pull this off, I'm somewhat confident they will, then I very much doubt there will ever be a proper Airbus simulation.

EDIT: I have to say though, I don't care much for the A32X - I'm much more interested in seeing full simulations of the A330/A340/A380, which I'm sure won't take FSLabs that long once they've perfected the A32X.
