January 16, 201313 yr I would like to see trains running about too  Trains present a thin line between immersion and non-immersion, it's very easy to get it all so so wrong... e.g: XPX has moving trains, I was flying VFR west out of Utah, following a railroad line when I see a pair of SD40s hauling a smallish freight train... 'woo, immersion...', 30 seconds later they're passed by a TGV Atlantique heading in the opposite direction... 'immersion broken :('
January 16, 201313 yr Software where you can restore your payware planes quickly if your computer dies. FSUIPC's Autosave feature will do this for the most part. I don't even know if this is possible, but something that looked at what plane you loaded and what flight plan over what area and auto-optimized your FSX.cfg to be optimal for that combo would be magical..... I basically do this by hand now, and it seems like there are sets of choices I make that are repeatable across like situations. Great idea and one that seems rather simple to accomplish you would think someone would be able to write that kind of program fairly easily as there are really only 10 or so parameters that require a change for each situation. January 16, 201313 yr Moderator
A better ATC that supports IFR/VFR, military traffic and helicopters and that interacts with AI.
+1000. The current solutions just don't cut it at all. I've yet to complete a flight with ProATC X without it getting messed up. Would be nice as well to just have ATC working without having to setup a flight plan for VFR, e.g. On a VFR flight, having to tune the correct frequencies if wanting to pass through controlled space, etc.. Also, being consequences if you breach controlled space, etc..
January 16, 201313 yr Anything that makes FSX more alive... Cars parking, moving around Boats moving Trains People Trees that move in the wind (now I know I'm dreaming) Oh, and much more 'autogen' for photoreal. January 16, 201313 yr Commercial Member 1. Ability to keep ALL AUTOGEN in place, while using photoreal ground textures such as TileProxy 2. Cloud shadows 3. DX11 compatibility 4. 64bit compatibility 5. 3D lighting that reflects off objects in a realistic manner 6. Ability to crank up autogen and traffic without a huge FPS hit and no popping 7. Ability to use without having to "install" on the PC... Just create the game folder and execute it Oh wait, X-Plane 10 already does the above... We have cars & boats moving around already don't we and Orbx provides People flow & nature flow with moving trees in its airport add-ons. So your not dreaming  Kind Regards Simon.

So your not dreaming I've never bought an Orbx airport (price always seems a little steep to me)...didn't know they had moving trees but that'd be cool. Yeah, we have cars but, seeing them skip around, disappear, reappear...it's okay but it could be better. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. Hi Gregg Yeah, not all there airports have the moving trees probably the more recent releases from last year or so. I think i only have one of there last Aus releases with this but i turn it off as it uses a few frames. Not something i'm that bothered about to be honest. I know what you mean about the traffic but its ok to me really especially when up in the sky. 12% setting is enough for me and i even turn them off in UTX. : ) Kind Regards Simon.
January 16, 201313 yr Improved ATC...... * Eliminate the Stop/Start/Stop/Start messages broadcast "ad nauseam" when an AI plane is following you on the ground. * Fix the bug that makes FSX think an AI plane is on the runway when it is actually on a parallel taxiway. This makes a right mess of aircraft flow at certain large airports. * Don't make me wait for a landing plane to exit the runway before being given clearance to taxi into position (assuming that there are no other aircraft on final approach). * Increase the timespan before AI planes disappear when waiting for take off clearance. I know that this is unavoidable, but I think that adding an extra minute would make all the difference. It's amazing how many times a waiting AI plane disappears just as I am exiting the runway after landing! * When an AI plane is taxiing up to the runway end, it should be safe to give me clearance to cross the runway! January 16, 201313 yr This would be pretty intense. I don't think I'd have a life. Be careful what you wish for... as they say Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
January 16, 201313 yr an utility to make all clouds cast shadow Yes, that is my opinion too And true multicore use
January 16, 201313 yr I want the FS XI addon. After all these years, I frequently find myself growing tired of costly "addons" and the time spent trying to make them all mesh together--I wish for a sim that had many of these features organic to it, right out of the box.
