Waaaaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaaaa! We want more! MORE! That's all I ever read in these update topics. I check to see if a team member has commented and I see this. If this was my part-time project, I would get so sick of it. I would just announce the product, stay quiet, mention all the features and pics a week before release, then release it. Everyone just needs to chill

Well spoken.

Half is being very generous. Maybe more like 3/16ths or so

I love how all the demanding comments from people come as if they are investors in a company demanding updates on their financials and projects.

Considering I'm the one that got the 777's prints & documents from the Red light-district in Amsterdam..

Believe me, as long as PMDG customers feel and act like that, no matter how irritating sometimes that can be, PMDG brand is rock solid and they should be happy. Companies spend millions trying to achieve that :P

Very true.  Good to know that the brand is still alive since the Microsoft flightsim platform is quickly ageing, with very little if any hope of some sort of continuation.  It's impressive companies like PMDG and many other HQ dev's can keep interest in a product that, based on industry stereotypes, should have totally lost interest years ago.  Then again, if FSX were to go down (which it doesn't look like that's happening any time soon), they'd probably shift their focus to X-Plane or P3d.

All that to say...ignore the hype.  It's not hard to skip over what other people are saying - the PMDG dev team has the PMDG logo in their avatars so it's pretty easy to tell when they chip in.  In fact, just now I skipped over tens of posts in an instant to make sure I was right. ;)

In a sense we are investors.  The $ we pay for previous products pays the wages and goes towards funding the next project.  So in fact, yes I am an investor.  Without investors, the projects stop.

huh?

You paid for a previous product and you got it.

You have not invested a cent in the 777 yet.

PMDG could close tomorrow and these is nothing you could ever do about.

PMDG can close at any time.

No one here is an investor.  You invested in a product in which you got.  PMDG don't owe anyone anything.

Brent Lewis

Although I see where you are coming from, customers are not investors. PMDG may re-invest your money into the company, but you have no real control over PMDG, whereas an investor would.

Investors would invest money into the company and expect a dividend to be payed from the success of a product(ie. the profit). There is of course a risk involved in investements, a product might fail and there will be not profit, hence no dividend.

The product you have bought is not a risk, the product has already been produced, you pay the money, you get the product.

That is dumb dude..

You pay PMDG money for a service. So, you pay them $79 for the NGX and that's it? They must not give you support or anything after you purchase it?
