Planes That Should Be Made Into Good Payware

All of the above have either never been done in a native FSX model, or where one does exist it's rather old, outdated or not of top tier quality.

A complete update of the MAAM B-25 or, better yet, one by RealAir, A2A, or MilViz

Three pages of answers and not one DH Chipmunk. I have Rick Piper's Chippie with excellent FDE by Bernt Stolle, but it really needs an updated VC....Please, someone?

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

Talking of updated VCs, I would love to see an FSX native version of Rick Piper's HS748. The 3D model, sounds, and flight dynamics are all great, but I really can't live with anything other than a top quality VC.

Yep, that's a classic that would have been great with a new VC!

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

I've got big shiny airplane syndrome, so I really wish Gulfstream would life the veil and allow a dev to do a really solid a G IV, V and VI series.

Arguably there is FSX payware of varying quality already available for many of the aircraft mentioned already, but, like many others who have already posted, I would love to see an A380, There must be a big market out there for a quality version of this airliner - I had the Abacus and AFS versions for FS9 and I will certainly not be buying them for FSX and from the reviews the Wilco version is not much better. I too would also love to see a C-46, F-27, One-Eleven, Piper Aztec (built in huge numbers and very popular from the 60s to the 80s - amazingly has never been developed as payware for either FS9 or FSX - come on Alabeo, Real Air or Carenado!) and, yes Ron, a Chipmunk!

Am a little surprised the Beaver appears in a few posts, as I really feel the Aerosoft version is pretty good in FSX!

I comprehend quite well thank you, but don't say it hasn't been done because it has.

Reading comprehension not your forte? Give it another try.

I guess you two differ about what is a "good" addon (and that's what the topic title says). I have both the Virtavia and the Area51 C-17, and they aren't bad addons, especially the Virtavia one is actually quite good. "Tube and Rag" probably refers to good as "PMDG quality", which obviously is not true for either of the available Globemasters. However, they are not bad (although possibly a bit overpriced)...

I doubt that we will get any better C-17, though, as 1) the market for military transport planes is most likely not too big (even in the sim world) and 2) it is probably hard - although, of course not impossible, as VRS show - to get enough access and insight to military aircraft to correctly depict it for a flight simulation.

Gentlemen, keep it civil.

Also, I'm delighted to see that this thread is alive once more. I think some big name developers should take a look at what we have written. B)

While we're still adding new stuff, I'd like to mention the B-47.

A really good BAC 1-11 would be nice.

I agree. A few months ago I was starting my moving into big iron. I figured I would start with a smaller commercial jet and move up. I chose to purchase a BAC 1-11-500 on FlyteLine and proceeded to set it up. I downloaded one from somewhere and it was nothing but trouble from day one getting the thing to fly properly and the panel setup done my way. (I mean no offense to the dev of this project, hence I'm not mentioning the website) I eventually gave up, sold the bird, and bought a 737.

Anyway, I like the 1-11, it was a great plane in it's time, and I don't mind that it's ancient by today's standards. Please, somebody do one.

Well i'm not worried about any aircraft being PMDG quality. I'm not an elitist to where i only fly those type of aircraft.

In a market this small sometimes you have to suck it up and drive on and take what you can get. If you want better make it yourself  ;)

Beech 18 (Tail dragger, not that tri-gear, pointed nose junk that looks like SHHHhhhh)

I recently bought a B18 from FS Pilotshop - FlySimWare makes it. While it is much, much better than the tweaked freeware B18 I was using, I still have a complaint or two. I wrote the devs but have not received a response. It's only been a week or so and I'm a fairly patient man.

The plane's graphics are pretty good, the chrome paint is excellent, and the panel is good too. There is no 2D panel included so I added my own.
