December 23, 201312 yr I also use Aivlasoft EFB, try Sahin's little program, it works perfectly for me..... Why don't you take this one for Aivlasoft: It is working with V 1.16 of AXE too. Intel i9 12900K, Asus ROG Strix Gaming Z690-A Wifi D4, GSkill 32gb, RTX 4090 Regards Chris Kathi
December 27, 201312 yr Been away from here for over 2 months as travelling. Thanks to SierraHotel and Chris. Just downloading now at a cyber cafe. Rick Almeida
December 27, 201312 yr I purchased this plane a few weeks ago while on sale and got it for $30. While it does not replace my all time favorite pmdg 737-ngx it is an interesting plane. This plane is probably ideal for someone who wants to test the water with jet flying. The reason I say this is because even though its not on the same level as the 737ngx or 777 from pmdg it is more of a complete package overall. The inclusion of checklists and a co-pilot are a nice touch. With the 737ngx you would need to buy fs2crew to have a co-pilot. Another feature I like about this plane is that the amount of vas required to run it is not bad at all. If you can grab it while it is on sale its well worth the value and for someone who wants to try out jet flying, but not pay a huge amount of money for the top of the line stuff this is a solid deal and as far as I know it is currently the best airbus simulation available.
December 27, 201312 yr IIRC, it's a wind shift issue, triggering Alpha protection in the Airbus. Should not happen with Active Sky Next, for all other AS versions/wx engines check whether wind smoothing options are enabled. Actually this just happened to me. Flying from KBZN-KLAX. Plane started pitching and climbing upwards of FL410 then back down to FL380 it was totally out of control. I was also using ASN at the time. I did have time accelerated though so maybe that caused the issue? This was also my first flight in the plane so it's certainly possible I didn't have something enabled in the plane.
December 27, 201312 yr (...) I did have time accelerated though so maybe that caused the issue? (...) Possibly, yes: The AAX needs "solid" fps in unaccelerated flight (not less than 12 fps, I'd say; Aerosoft still state a "solid" 18 fps). This number increases with time acceleration. And what's more, temporary stutters are more difficult to recover from, when in time acceleration. My own way to cope with this is: 2x acceleration maximum while in 'heavy' scenery 4x max while in cruise What happened to AVSIM
December 27, 201312 yr 2x acceleration maximum while in 'heavy' scenery4x max while in cruise I will try that next time. Thank you.
December 30, 201312 yr @SierraHotel Where do I drop that EFB .dll file to get EFB to work with that Sahin's program? Rick Almeida
January 1, 201412 yr They are two separate things. Sahin's prog is stand alone. Just drop the Aerosoft file into AivlaSoft/EFB/Plugins. Then point the Display unit at \Documents\Aerosoft\AerosoftAirbusExtended\. July 30, 20169 yr I enquired about Aerosoft A320 Sim rate in their forum. But they won't support sim rate increase. Is there any work around to increase sim rate? Without higher sim rate flying these plane is annoying..2 hour flight means you'll have to sit for 2 hours! I am ready to let go weather radar/TCAS whatever to get higher sim rate. Please help.
July 30, 20169 yr whats wrong with using sim rate x2, what happens? nothing wrong with usin x2 or just go outside or read book I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
July 30, 20169 yr It's not uncommon. Many detailed or complex planes have issues with much more than 2x. I just stick with shorter distance flights. For long flights I use the ConcordeX.
July 30, 20169 yr I don't know how PMDG 737NGX and 777 compare with Aerosoft Airbus X. But for PMDG's, sim rate can be increased to x4 or x8 without issues.
July 30, 20169 yr @ haseen You already know why Aerosoft do not support any accelearated time in the sim , if you had asked ( or searched ) in the Aerosoft forum . The Airbus needs 18 frames per second for the fly-by-wire system and Aerosoft simply cannot guarantee a stable flight when flying at 8X ( or 4X for that matter ) or feel the need to alter this . So if you have more than 144 fps , it won't be a problem , will it ? It's not as though a 2 hour flight is " long " by anyone's standards . As for any of PMDG's aircraft being able to fly at 8X you might want to visit their forum as it would appear that not everyone would agree . Also compare the prices of these products , it really is apples and oranges . It's funny how most want it " as real as it gets " but also want extra's added so that it becomes " realer " . I've said it before but if Aerosoft brought out a 18 carat gold DVD series with the Airbus A318/319/320/321 with every possible repaint included , navdata updates free for life and a Personal Install Service where an Aerosoft employee comes to your house to install everything , someone would complain because the DVD's weren't 24 carat gold .
