July 11, 201312 yr Yes! They could build it and make it usable by any developers that care to integrate it. C'mon Mathjis, call a whiteboard meeting. I'm sure he will do this ASAP, as soon as they release the Aerosoft Flight Simulator. Mike Mann
July 11, 201312 yr I have added GoFlight hardware (MCP, MCP PRO, TQ6, EFIS) support for this aircraft in the GoFlight Interface Tool. Configs available for download at www.pollypot-software.org.uk Stephen Munn

July 11, 201312 yr I find that using the mouse wheel on the Pitch wheel works best. Mouse clicks do not work as well.. Bert, As far as I can tell, mouse wheel back and forth controls the pitch on the wheel, and mouse clicks control the roll. It's fiddly to say the least and not too intuitive. But Finn has said that LUA scripts will be available (I use one for the Aerosoft Airbus X Extrended and it gives full control of tons of custom features), so the future is even brighter for this lovely Twotter!

I tried getting to the support site but apparently I have to register the product (which I cannot even find in the dropdown list btw).... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 12, 201312 yr Underneath the dropdown there is a small sentence link called "Register a new product" or similar. That will take you to a dropdown with your product and a place to put in your serial and email. Maybe I am missing something but I just created an account to join the Aerosoft forums and it went through with any issues. What is this drop down area you are talking about? 2. Also my prop levers are moving in the VC along with my CH quadrant however I'm not getting any changes in RPM/Torque etc. If I right click on feathering within the popup checklist it feathers? Strange.
July 12, 201312 yr Are you still having an option of old/modern version like in the original? The KLN90 unit was fine.
July 12, 201312 yr Commercial Member 1. Maybe I am missing something but I just created an account to join the Aerosoft forums and it went through with any issues. What is this drop down area you are talking about? It caused me a little bit of frustration trying to find it as well - on any of the store pages, there's a menu lower down on the left hand side that reads 'Service / Support'. Choose the 'FAQ's / Updates' link. It made me register in a little popup window, and once registered it provided me with a dropdown list where I couldn't find the Twin Otter at all... Turns out, that in that same popup window, there's a link that reads 'Do you want to register another product?'. Click that link, you'll get a different dropdown box where you can find the Twin Otter Extended. You'll then get to register it, and then get the ability to reach the update file. I understand having to register your product to download updates, but boy-oh-boy they don't make it simple or intuitive. I also spent some time tonight browsing the Aerosoft forums. I've never really had the reason to do that before. Not sure if that was a good idea - I almost have buyers remorse, despite how much I like this plane. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
July 12, 201312 yr I am loving this aircraft. Sorted out all of my control issues by running everything through fsuipc. Just one thing though, does anyone see increase in rpm when bringing to idle with a slight decrease in rpm when pushing the throttles slightly forward? I've dialled in the right idle values in fsuipc and while the aircraft stays stationary at my idle position the rpms increase slightly. Weird.
July 13, 201312 yr Going a bit OT here but jeez, that site is nearly a direct copy of avsim!!! Agreed, but that's because he's using the same website product (IP.Board).
July 15, 201312 yr I'm really enjoying this DeHavilland! I've flown it for several days after release and because I love flying in Alaska so much and the Pacific Northwest, it has become an unquestionable favorite. I only wish the SOUND of the FLAPS were much louder and I could hear them extending and retracting. I feel that's a real necessity with this plane. Is there a way for me to make them more pronounced? Stan
July 15, 201312 yr Edit and amplify the flap wav file; I've done this on many planes with goofy or poor sound volumes.
