July 13, 201312 yr I have Carenado's B200 and I have to say this model looks almost as good visually but the features knock the Carenado one right out of the park, still awaiting the Milviz King Air 350i
July 13, 201312 yr Well, dunno. I went in to the virtual memory settings and noticed that Windows had set it to very small. I bumped it up and forgot about it. July 13, 201312 yr I can't say I see anyone really talk about it (which is, maybe, why I never touched it before now.) To get to it on your Windows 7 system click Start menu right click Computer and click Properties. On the left side of the screen that pops up click 'Advanced system settings'. On the System Properties dialog that pops up, click the Advanced tab and then the top Settings button (under Performance). On the next dialog click Advanced and, under Virtual Memory you'll see your paging file-size. It should be at least as big as the amount of physical memory you have...or bigger. Click the Change button Untick the Automatically manage paging size for all drives. I'm really wondering how bad of a job having that option turned on does. Now you can set a custom size...say...8-12 gig. Notice that there is a recommended setting near the bottom of the page. You can go with that number or something bigger. Reboot See if it helps Hope it helps. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090

SSD's should be set to "None" to avoid writes being sent to it.Don't know positively if that's correct but that's how I am using FSX on my SSD. Note that my operating system is on an HDD where the page file size is set as suggested, but I'm not sure my method would apply if the OS is also on the SSD. I know this is drifting off topic but thought it might be good to add this caution. Turns out I had the throttle position very close to the beta range setting. So what I was hearing was the throttle values slipping into that range. PS. -Some odd sound issues with mixing of the outside and in cabin engine sounds Update on my...umm..sounds "issue". July 13, 201312 yr jcomm, on 13 Jul 2013 - 02:02 AM, said: I didn't buy the B200 - although it tempts me...! This turn coordination requiring way to much rudder is typical of MSFS aircraft designed to allow for "realistic" sideslips. One consequence is that they require a completely irrealistic amount of rudder to coordinate the turn. There is yet another shortcoming - turns performed with the turn-coordinator to be standard rate turns will take a lot less or a lot more than 2'..... BTW: The real Kingairs are "feet on the floor". You use rudder during takeoff/landing or to sideslip or overcome an engine failure situation, other than that, even because the YD is "ON" most of the time, you use only the yoke. Yes, but the vast majority of MSFS airplanes aren't such that they require what ryanabatcund described--a situtation where you have to give it anywhere near the full rudder. In some discussion of the Realair Duke, somebody was pointing out that the airplane takes too long to do a standard rate turn, and Rob Young said one of the consequences of realistic slip behavior was that it required a little bit more rudder than the real thing. Still though, I fly the Dukes all the time, and the amount of rudder required to center the ball is pretty minimal, and hardly any at all if you are giving even a little back pressure, which you typically are. Nothing like what is being described here. So if the reports on this new airplane are true, I certainly hope they look into it. I'm so ready to buy a new airplane, and this looks like the leading candidate (over the Twin Otter and Q400), but this reported issue is holding me back. If it is as simple as ryanbatcund not turning on "rudder boost" then it doesn't sound like an issue. Hopefully somebody can confirm if it is or is not a problem. Looks like a beauty, and I want it badly, but will wait to hear more...
July 13, 201312 yr $59.95 at Flight1. It is great looking and I'm sure it is a terrific plane. I personally have too many good slow movers.
July 13, 201312 yr Hello, I bought this B200 and it seems very good. I was wondering what the "Main Panel", which is accessed by pressing "Shift + 1" is supposed to look like. When I press Shift +1, it just seems to turn off my displays without doing anything else. I don't know if this is what it is supposed to be doing, or for some reason, I'm missing my "Main Panel". I guess I really need to look over the manual to see what is going on. Robert Yunque PilotEdge Ratings = CAT-11 (2016-09-13) I-11 (2016-10-23) V-3 (2016-08-01)
