August 15, 201312 yr Froogle's youtube channel is awesome  :drinks: :good: his reviews and tutorials are #1
August 15, 201312 yr Bounce like that happens from time to time! Just watch some youtube videos of aircrafts landing with some unusual weather! I don't know why the A/T would engage Speed mode. I wouldn't like to land with a/T armed if it does that kind of thing! Not saying it's a PMDG bug, it's maybe a feature of the real 777 as well, but I don't like the A/T changing it's mind as my aircraft is bouncing. Maybe it's a protection to allow the crew to recover control of the aircraft? Alexis Mefano
August 15, 201312 yr Exactly, he should have disengaged the A/T arm switch before touchdown!! No need to ever touch the A/T Arm switch in-flight in the 777 in normal ops. If you want manual control of the power, you press the disconnect switches on the throttle. Like other modern Big Boeings, the A/T Arm switch is not held in place by a solenoid like the 737CL and 737NG. David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777
August 15, 201312 yr Why doesnt the airport get preserved from the POS INt page to the RTE page like the NGX? The 737 is the only one I've seen (in my flight sim experience) that preserves the airport the POS INIT page. Both the Level D 767 and Aerowinx PS1 don't preserve it; I'm assuming this is a feature specific to the FMC software on the NG? Jon Skiffington
August 15, 201312 yr Author Thanks to the 300 or so of you that joined in over the course of the stream and an EPIC thanks to my mods who did an amazing job at eliminating the usual puerile trolling that occurs on these things - one guy got banned before I even had a chance to see what he said, they were so on the ball. But beyond all that what an amazing job the PMDG crew have done with this aircraft. Its the first beta I've ever had enough confidence to live stream and it didn't disappoint with jaw dropping performance, and rock solid stability. No bugs, no errors and no crashes. Maybe next time I'll let the YouTube crowd know and we'll see about smashing through the 1000 simultaneous viewers mark for a giggle Thanks froogle for taking the time to stream us this wonderful plane and showing us around it and giving us your thoughts and impressions on it. Hope to see more from you soon! Jorge Sanchez - KMIA@iJorge511
August 15, 201312 yr Thank you sir for this video. I enjoyed watching it. Best regards, Stefan van Hierden

August 15, 201312 yr Froogle I also learned something watching your flight. I think another reason was the distraction in the cockpit. I am only saying this because I am a firm believer in learning from others. I think you did a great job, but the fact that there were so many questions and distractions from the chat might have led to something being missed. And I myself am guilty of this as well. A friend stops by and wants to do something and I tell them hold on I need to land real quick. They are curious and start asking questions and I will inevitably miss something either too high or the freq. not dialed in right etc. I don't believe it was an Aircraft issue, just the pressure of flying a bird that you only had 40+ hrs on, everyone curious on how it works and the 600 eyes watching you. Again don't take this as a "lets bash Froogle" but rather an after action report. So if you do this again maybe those of us reading this could refrain from asking questions while he is on final. Again I was hesitant of posting this because I know you really put yourself out there and I am grateful you did. Russell Homan
August 15, 201312 yr I've been watching the reviews and tutorials on froogles channel for the last year. For me he has the best FSX channel on YouTube. A lot of vids and voices on YouTube are monotonous and boring and everything is far too perfect. You can tell they've flown and recorded the flight a few times till they've got it perfect. Froogle is enthusiastic and funny and he makes the odd dodgy landing or screws something up like the rest of us and just gets on with it. It makes his videos human like us and a lot easier to relate to and therefore more enjoyable. Looking forward to his fully loaded T7 vids. Keep up the good work Froogle.

But it was a great stream and big thanks. :Applause: Regards Guss :good: Anthony Kemp. Its the first beta I've ever had enough confidence to live stream and it didn't disappoint with jaw dropping performance, and rock solid stability. No bugs, no errors and no crashes. It certainly screams quality, sophistication and performance. But I wanted to say thank you as well. I didnt bother commenting live as you were getting inundated with comments, some of them really ridiculous , but just the effort to do that, was great to watch. Thanks for the time. August 15, 201312 yr Is there anyway to download these videos like you could with you tube? While I know people "can" download content from YouTube, I would hope they are not, and I'm not a big fan of seeing someone talk about doing it so openly . It takes a lot of effort to make those videos and I value the compensation I get (which is tiny to be honest) from people watching them on YouTube rather than downloading them and hoarding them.
August 15, 201312 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the correction Ryan! I learn something knew everyday! I went back and looked at the approach. He was in G/S speed mode on the approach, the throttles did initially retarded at 25ft RA, He bounced and on the second touchdown, the speed mode indicator blanked, and that's when the throttles spooled up. There was no TO/GA indication. Tom Cain My guess is that he had his physical throttle all the way forward then. Blank thrust FMA can't command any thrust - at that point the A/T is disabled and it's the physical throttles in control. Why doesnt the airport get preserved from the POS INt page to the RTE page like the NGX? Literally 3 posts after I get done talking about how I expect people to think it should work exactly like the NGX and someone does it. Has to be a record lol... The real 777 FMC does not have this feature. The NG FMC is built by a completely different company and has a whole host of things the 777 doesn't have and vice versa.
