Will Microsoft Flight still work after GFWL closes?

Featured Replies

But the GFWL client won't be usable anymore after July 1st 2014. That means you won't be able to download the DLC again after that (not even sure if it'll work, because the DLC works via GFWL).

Download it again... if it's not available anywhere on the internet ...no.

The DLC on your HD has sweet tweet to do with GFWL. GFWL can be dead for a million years Flight on your PC will still work.

That is your dream for FSF. It should've, could've. would've been so much more, right? If, if, if..........

And what, may I ask, is so bad about speculating about what might have been for a game you never play that you had to spend your free time popping in here to sneer at people?

Because I was on the Beta team and don't need to dream about anything.

OK guys. You know who you are. Let's end this back and forth. It does nothing for the thread and will inevitably end up in a flame war and locked topic.

Please discuss the topic as the title suggests and quit sniping.

Thanks.

Thank you.

Something is really gonna change at MS.

Since the new community manager USN Saint was in business we had daily updates on the FB page.

Now it`s silence for almost 5 days now...

Steam is owned by Valve. Would you really expect that to happen? But then again...

Guys... It's true... Games for Windows LIVE will close on July 1, 2014 for ALL games...

The official Age of Empires page on Facebook just confirmed it:

Honestly I'm ###### the ###### off... I just bought on the Steam summer sale GTA 4 and the episodes... I play mostly on the multiplayer, so this affects me also. Thankfully, the games still have excellent single players and they were on sale for 15 bucks both.

I guess it's Games for Windows DEAD now.

Microsoft is going to buyout Steam.

That would be a little amusing as Valve pitched the idea to them many years ago. Microsoft could have gotten in on the ground floor, instead of spending billions.

Gabe Newell also doesn't seem very keen on selling out to a larger company either.
