September 15, 201312 yr Old video. Maybe they missed a spot? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
September 15, 201312 yr Could be quite common, no? It is, some pilots are just clean freaks and the glass must be spotless. Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
September 15, 201312 yr I do not know what's the situation with airliners but windshield and leading edges of GA planes get really messy after each flight. I don't know is it true, but I hear the bugs at leading edge of wing can reduce performance of 172. September 15, 201312 yr Well - we all know how dirty Southwest's airplane wings are - so I'm not in total shock! Regards, Jeremy Chesney
September 15, 201312 yr I think it's quite normal. I've seen several youtube vids showing this and I've also seen it on my aviation dvd's. Nature Boy
September 15, 201312 yr Part of my job involves giving window washes and that's how I do them after the airline I contract with banned washing them from the outside using maintenance ladders (union reg). Pilots were getting ticked off about having to leave their seats but I simply tell them I'm gonna get in your seat or you can leave with a dirty window, your choice. I prefer washing them from the outside but it is what it is. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
September 19, 201312 yr Haha, Isn't there a video floating around of two pilots hanging out of the cockpit of a 757 at the runway hold line washing their windows. I think it was JET2. It's actually pretty normal to see this at the airport. Pilots tend not to trust ground crews to clean it for them. Dylan Charles "The aircraft G-limits are only there in case there is another flight by that particular airplane. If subsequent flights do not appear likely, there are no G-limits."
