September 23, 201312 yr I have been an avid PMDG aircraft sim flyer since the early ages of the FS9 737, and I have been flying the NGX for most of the little time that my busy day by day life has allowed me to spend on this great hobby over the last couple of years. I purchased the T7 the same day it was released and have been flying her since then. The level of details is amazing, the sound is simply amazing and quite frankly I am not having all those issues that may people seem to have here in the forums. A couple of days ago I decided to take a break from her and have a ride on the NGX. I flew a short hop from EGKK to EDDM....and, well, guys, the same moment I powered up the a/c and the cockpit came to life, I realised that probably there will never be another aircraft addon in FSX that will give me that feeling of realism, full immersion and "being there" that the NGX can give. I enjoyed every single moment of the flight to EDDM, from taxing out from EGKK to the manual landing on rwy 26L in EDDM. T7 is fantastic, but I think there will never be "another NGX"..!! Happy flying to everyone..! AMD Ryzen 7800x3d, Asus ROG Strix RTX4090, Asus x670e-e, G-Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
September 23, 201312 yr same for me, The T7 is a great airplane but i think it's a special favorite for those who like long haul flights. With the NGX i think PMDG will never be able to develope another airplane outbeating this one, it's simply to good! TvD Ton van Dongen
September 23, 201312 yr Maybe its not PMDG but Boeing. The NGX seems better simply because there is more to do for the pilots and simmer, the flights are shorter so you tend to be busy more of the time during your flight. The T7 is so automated that unless you really delve into the details of ETOPS procedures, cross checking positions and simulating POS Reports, there is not much to do for many of the hours during your flight. September 23, 201312 yr I used to prefer the 744 to the 737. Then I preferred the MD11 to the 744. Currently I prefer the T7 to the MD11. (The T7 can fly a short trip of 400 nm in 15-20 mins - thanks to the auto-cruise feature. ) Keep them coming, PMDG!!! What happened to AVSIM
September 23, 201312 yr Mmm... This is an interesting topic :-) I have been addicted to the NGX for the last year and when combined with TIR5, EZCA, EFB, AS2012 and FS2Crew, the level of immersion is simply amazing. I haven't flown the NGX in the couple of weeks since buying the T7 because I'm still learning the ropes of the latter. I have to say though that I'm really looking forward to going back for another flight in her just to see how she feels after the T7. I guess the thing I'm really missing is FS2crew, so I couldn't make an objective comparison until it's been released for the T7. As for long or short haul... I'm not a real stickler for real world situations in my simming, so I frequently fly the T7 on short haul flights, simply because I haven't got enough spare time in my life to do anything else! So, I'm fairly busy in the T7 cockpit whatever! Luke
September 23, 201312 yr I never really had time to do long-hauls since the PMDG 747 came out. Now it's possible again with the autocruise. I can watch Dexter, and still get a flight in. September 23, 201312 yr I've been scouring Flightaware and Flightstats and usually I can find a real world short haul flight with the T7, a few domestic asian flights, european hub to hub hops, ferry flights, a few short mainenance hops and/or freighter repositioning flights it seems like there's usually one or two real life T7's in the air doing 1-2 hour flights. That realisation was one of the reasons why I decided to get it, even though I never fly long haul. I'll never ever use the time compression feature, since I always fly on either VATSIM or IVAO. So these short flights are the only ones I'll fly with the T7.

September 23, 201312 yr Hello All, I realise that everyone is entitled to do what they want in relation to the various flights in various aircraft in different time scales of the route. I am afraid of the addiction this can cause and personally speaking I cannot understand why simmers can tolerate flights of many hours duration, this I cannot do, however, at present, I don't have the T7 but in reading the posts about it some have found no problems others have. The point of all this, is flying the 737NGX is a complete pleasure from start to finish and in the evenings you can fly maybe two or three relatively short flights and that is sufficient to whet you appetite for the day. I know this suits me but may not appeal to others. Anyway I think the 737NGX is the bees knees of aircraft in FSX. Richard Welsh. Richard Welsh
September 23, 201312 yr I just spent the last 2 nights on Vatsim flying the 777 from Osaka/Kansai to Tokyo and back (and forth and back and forth). Always fun running real life 777 routes that are under 1 hour. ... with 20+ other 777's doing similar. September 24, 201312 yr It is what you want it to be. I operate a cargo company using the PMDG T7F and most flights are under 3 hrs. Some even involve short 50 mi hops and multiple stops to get full loads back to base. I use it for heavy lift more than long range flights. Just a big rig driver with wings there good buddy.
September 24, 201312 yr As far as the T7 being more automated than the NGX and hands off, it can be as automated as you want it to be. The RW pilots fly the autopilot down to final mainly due to passenger comfort. I watch Sim Videos and see most people doing the same thing. Why not kill it at the top? That is Immersion. It does not matter what you are flying. Thanks, Ron Thanks, Ron Fields
September 24, 201312 yr Thats just the way it is. Go fly the tits off the 737 and you will be amazed how nicer the 777 is to fly again , and then...rinse n repeat :-) ZORAN
September 24, 201312 yr get in, start up, taxi, takeoff, autopilot, quick flight duty period calculation, give your seat to the 2nd officer to press the button whenever 'pilot inactivity alert' shows up.. sleep for 10 hours, wake up, brush teeth, kick the 2fo from your seat. land the thing, taxi.. MacDonald, ibis.. sleep again.. Personally I like to setup for such a flight. but also set the failures to an average of 20/10h and no limit. takeoff, quick duty per... master caution,. fuel dump plan for a heavy landing.. master caution. it's getting complex now... master warning.. fire services on the runway.. etc.. No I'm not bored yet with this piece of art! (still the NGX is my favo! :Secret: ) Rico van Dijk
September 24, 201312 yr Absolutely agree with topic starter, NGX is giving way better feeling. NGX is no.1 Artur
