September 24, 201312 yr For me the B777 is the best thing ever since I started FS98 a long time ago. :-) It got me back to FSX. Best regards, Stefan van Hierden
September 25, 201312 yr I use my T7 for short to medium hauls, the shorts being simulated charters. I keep looking for the Facebook "Like" button.

September 25, 201312 yr If the 777 doesn't fit your needs and is too automated, then I think you'll like the 744v2. I don't care which airline does what - if I want to fly the 777 on a Frankfurt turnaround from Heathrow which is done by a 763 in the RW, I'll do it. Perfectly capable and not like you have a company telling you where you can and cannot go. Need to remember this is a simulator and you can do whatever you please... - Luke Pabari
September 25, 201312 yr I have been an avid PMDG aircraft sim flyer since the early ages of the FS9 737, and I have been flying the NGX for most of the little time that my busy day by day life has allowed me to spend on this great hobby over the last couple of years. I purchased the T7 the same day it was released and have been flying her since then. The level of details is amazing, the sound is simply amazing and quite frankly I am not having all those issues that may people seem to have here in the forums. A couple of days ago I decided to take a break from her and have a ride on the NGX. I flew a short hop from EGKK to EDDM....and, well, guys, the same moment I powered up the a/c and the cockpit came to life, I realised that probably there will never be another aircraft addon in FSX that will give me that feeling of realism, full immersion and "being there" that the NGX can give. I enjoyed every single moment of the flight to EDDM, from taxing out from EGKK to the manual landing on rwy 26L in EDDM. T7 is fantastic, but I think there will never be "another NGX"..!! Happy flying to everyone..! I hear you. I did buy the 777 because I want to support PMDG and what they do, but I find myself rarely flying it. The T7 is great without doubt, but currently nothing gets me out of the NGX cockpit. Eagerly awaiting NGX SP2! It sure doesn't help the T7 cause a lot that I'm not much of a long haul guy. Dave P. September 26, 201312 yr I also do not care if my flights are "real" or not. At least I can imagine to do some"special freight" transports into "smaller" airfields (what at least would be more funny if once the 777 TOPCAT profile is out) But yes, the 777 is a bit "boring" compared to the NGX Would incredible if there will be also some steam gauge versions for the 747 then. But I think, PMDG won't do that... September 26, 201312 yr Need to remember this is a simulator and you can do whatever you please... Some idiots decide to call it a 'game'. They struggle to tell the difference between GTA5/COD and a flight sim.... Lionel
September 26, 201312 yr Blimey, some people are never satisfied. The 777 is breathtakingly good, there's plenty to keep you busy. There is a little bit more to do in the NGX, but not much. You can set the controls on the overhead panel before takeoff and forget them for the whole flight. Some idiots decide to call it a 'game'. They struggle to tell the difference between GTA5/COD and a flight sim.... Well it is a game, and a flight simulator. It all depends how you use it. Please don't call people idiots just because their preferences are different.
September 27, 201312 yr Author Being the topic starter let me clarify one thing: I am neither bored, nor dissatisfied, nor have any particular complaint against T7...I love it, I believe it is another masterpiece in the FSX environment (only the sound of engines spooling up at start and at take off would be worth the money..). What I meant is that the NGX, when it came out was a "first" of her kind, like we had never seen before, and gave us a thrill that we had never experienced before in FSX (the typical "WOW..!!!"). Now, after two years, the NGX standard has probably become in our expectations "THE standard", the benchmarking for any addon aircraft, to such a way that the beauty of T7 is not really appreciated in its entirety, as it is no longer a surprise.. Having said that, I repeat that I enjoy flying the NGX more than the T7, but this is a matter of personal preferences and has got nothing to do with the product itself. September 27, 201312 yr I have everything that PMDG have done for FSX... It's clearly another masterpiece and i am very happy with my purchase, but it's less 'fun' than the NGX and (at least for me) less immersive than the MD11. It's just a little too automated... I'll shout out for a good old British or Soviet era tubeliner from PMDG; failing that i am looking forward to the DC6. Ian R Tyldesley
