October 1, 201411 yr To the same end, on approach to landing, the Cabin Ready seems to be related to a time after selecting flap 1. Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
October 1, 201411 yr Its actually just a button or switch in the cockpit that is to tell the flight attendants to take their seats. The seatbelt sign chime also can be turned on, off or put on auto in most planes.

Maybe you missed the point of the OP...and it was answered very succinctly here: Just in case anyone's interested, Bryan found out it's 209 seconds after selecting takeoff flaps MSI Pro Z690-A DDR4 | i5 13600KF | G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 3600MHz | RTX 3080 (12GB) | Samsung 980 M.2 NVMe 500GB | Samsung 980 M.2 NVMe 1TB | Samsung 850EVO 500GB | Crucial P3+ 2TB NVMe | 2TB Seagate HDD | Deepcool AK500 CPU Cooler | Thrustmaster T16000M HOTAS | CH Yoke | Various Winctrl hardware | 21:9 1440p UW monitor | Win 11 23H2 build | MSFS2020 | Tony K.

In real life, it's a button in the cabin which the purser pushes to let the cockpit know they are ready for departure, not the other way around. Name available upon request
October 1, 201411 yr Very entertaining thread, and if my memory was any better I could tell you which boolean events must be true for the cabin ready chime. We played with this very briefly during pre-RTM beta testing and it was a topic for a day or two... boy, that seems like a long time ago. It's not distance to runway... I think it does depend on the location of the pogostick. Dan Downs KCRP
October 1, 201411 yr I think it does depend on the location of the pogostick Knowing PMDG's sense of humor, i believe this to be true. Is it the time it took to travel from nose to bulk cargo via pogo stick? Bryan Richards "People depend so much on automation that they forget how to get the automation to work." B.W.
October 1, 201411 yr Being a freight dawg, I had never flown a pax version of the 777 until the 300ER was released. I couldn't figure out what the heck the chime was and it kind of surprised me at first. PMDG never fails to impress! Chris Sunseri
October 1, 201411 yr Commercial Member No, it's not. In real life, it's a button in the cabin which the purser pushes to let the cockpit know they are ready for departure, not the other way around. How would you know...? I want someone with experience to tell me how it works... Kyle Rodgers
October 2, 201411 yr I did some tests and it looks like something about 15 seconds after you descend below the transition level with speed between about 195 and 200 kts and flaps not up, whichever occurs later. I am not sure 100% about that, though, more tests should be done. Anyway I can get CABIN READY each time. To cancel it, just slew to above 10000 ft and restart descending. James Goggi
October 2, 201411 yr It's not randomly, it's always exactly 209 seconds after flaps are deployed as I heard...
October 2, 201411 yr Guys, seriously...it's not distance to the runway. i think its distance to the runway.... HEHE... no serious, but then what it is? October 3, 201411 yr Can someone please try what I wrote 4 posts above? Descend through transition level with flaps out of up and speed about 195-199 knots. James Goggi
