Wow!  It's looking outstanding.  I always hated the "brillo pad" looking clouds in XPX.  Now we'll have some real clouds.

More like charcoal flavored mashed potatoes. These clouds look much, much better.

Default X-Plane clouds are certainly ugly and unrealistic: :wink:

Wow! Nice screens there Murmur. One thing I've noticed, the clouds look significantly better if we set them ourselves than by downloading real weather. Why this happens, I don't know. Anyways, It'll soon be a thing of the past when John releases SkyMAXX Pro.

Best results can be obtained using "Set random and only semi-controlled weather patterns". Using the "default" method ("Set weather uniformly for the whole world") yields poorer results.

This was most certainly the fresh air X-Plane 10 needed right now... and a significative move towards a much more plausible World in X-Plane 10 :-/

 

Well, I just hope whatever prevented John from getting to the release of this product can be overcome one day...
