that the dev community needs to cooperate more in building the sim. So if you're one of the devs that he's contacted hit him up with a comp. copy of your stuff so he can make a video to show his subscribers.

Learning to use and getting use to FSX!

Frogie, and others, should also consider Aerofly FS.

I know it is not in the same league, but it's still a promissing sim.

Anyone read the threads on this subject at x-pilot and the org? Product promotion is not one of their strong suits. Unbelievable!

The X-Pilot thread was depressing reading.  How are you going to get to be the next mainstream platform if you can't distinguish the hand that feeds you from your next meal?

I was not aware of that thread...

Just went there, and returned... RUNNING!!!!!

I'd rather not comment :-/

I never liked Ben Russel attitude since when I was participating at the .org forums.

"Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

Tom Kyler seems to be calming the troops down a bit over there. He and Goran probably agree this is absolutely good news for everyone. The way forward is getting people in front of X-Plane, the software should do the rest.

He makes some fun videos but seriously, Froogle thinks the future in X-Plane, and that's a voice of authority is it?

I'll get my coat.

Although I am not a visitor of Froogle's Youtube channel or Facebook, I have watched a couple of his presentations and I lked it.

This one in particular was interesting, and I actually agree with most of what he said.

Can't really really understand the reaction of some of the forum members at X-Pilot. I stopped reading because I really don't want to spend my time in that thread...

One of the futures :)  There can be more than one, you know, depending on one's interests, demands, etc...

Mine's certainly not in fsx or p3d v2, unless I didn't get the message correctly and after all p3d v2 includes a re-designed core FDM and Weather engine, which I really think it doesn't... So, with fsx and / or P3D we're left with a great core FDM, that is showing it's age and limitations, unless you do the hard work outside of it....

X-Plane 10 will progressively become a much more interesting platform for me, I'm almost sure...

Watch the video before you head for the exits - his argument is a little more nuanced than the headline makes it sound.  He acknowledges the importance of P3D v2, but also suggests that lack of clarity around the entertainment license could be a limiting factor.  He acknowledges the limitations of X-Plane but notes that its independence and active, ongoing development work in its favor.  So in a way it's an abstract case in favor of X-Plane - it could be the answer, given its status compared to some of the alternatives.  But that doesn't mean it's going to be.  He wants to give it a shot.  That's all.

So these are shadows of things that may be, only, not the things that will be.  In his view, at least.

Yes I am ashamed to have participated in that thread.  It seams Mr. Froogle is leaving there with a bad taste in his mouth too which is a real shame.

I read somewhere once that Xplane ends up being it's own worst enemy... somehow that makes sense now.
