November 9, 201312 yr This is just like your favorite airport thread. What is your favorite plane in fsx and why? Can be payware/free/jet/prop, anything. You can list other planes you own to put it into context, but please only pick one plane has your absolute favorite. My current favorite is the pmdg 737-800 ngx. I like jets in general and love the realism of it, that its very interactive and its range fits nicely into a lot of the flights I make. I also enjoy the pmdg 777, the majestic dash 8 and the realair legacy.
November 9, 201312 yr In real life I love the 777.mainly because of its range and the overall comfort of it. But in fsx I prefer the pmdg 737 cause it reminds me a bit of the way we used to fly in the "old" days Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk Faisal Altheyab
November 9, 201312 yr That's a tough one. I can't really nominate one only, but since I have to, it is the A2A J3 Cub. A great plane, easy to fly, just jump in and take off - plus this thing as able to land nearly anywhere! And with Accusim, it's even more fun. Runners-up might be the PMDG MD-11 (great performance, and the first complex plane I learned to fly in the sim. Besides, it's one of the most beautiful aircraft by desing IMO), the AXE (while not a detailed systems sim it gives a nice feel of what the work of an A32x pilot might be) and the Carenado C208 for its capability to bring anything anywhere (well, at least nearly). Oh, and while I'm at it, the default Grumman Goose is worth mentioning, especially with the OzX Redux pack. Florian
November 9, 201312 yr My favorite right now is the T7 from PMDG. In a shared second place are:PMDG 737NG-X PMDG MD-11/F Majestic software Dash-8 Q400 Aerosoft Airbus X Extended. On third (But it still needs work to make it good) Blackbox A330 Rob "Sponge" SzymanskaOwner of: PMDG 737/747/777/MD11/J41. LD 767. Aerosoft Airbus X Extended. Majestic Dash 8 Q400. And many more. Vatsim Hours: 1000+
November 9, 201312 yr A2A accusim c172 Same here. Right now, if I was only able to keep one add-on aircraft for FSX, it would be the A2A Cessna 172. Loads of other worthy candidates coming a close second, however. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
November 9, 201312 yr I really love the PMDG NGX, Airbus X Extended, QualityWings Avros, Just Flight DC-6, Coolsky DC-9, Maddog 2010 Pro, and the PMDG MD-11... (The PMDG T7 just hasn't captured my heart for some reason). But at the moment, I am addicted to and really enjoying flying the feelThere ERJ135/145 v2. It's from early 2010 but there are things I just love about it (especially with the TSS HD soundpack for it). It comes with CALL! a nifty little checklist system, has fantastic FDE, just the right amount of automation and because it flies nice 30-120 minute missions, there's very little 'boredom' time in the cruise. Just love it!
November 9, 201312 yr RealAir B60 Duke v2 hands down. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
November 9, 201312 yr RealAir Legacy. It's the plane id love to own/build in real life. The panel/avionics would be real close to what I'd want as well. Their Duke v2 comes in a close second. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 9, 201312 yr I have the A2A C172, but still find myself flying the Carenado C172N. So I guess that means that it's my favorite. The A2A C172 is without a doubt a better plane, but I usually just want to jump in and fly without concerns about spark plug fouling, etc. Ernie
November 9, 201312 yr Probably the NGX, however i'm learning to fly the coolsky DC9 and i'm really enjoying it. I'll be getting the 777 soon so we'll see!
November 9, 201312 yr The j41 but still learning it. The Gruman Goose with redux is very nice. A2A C172 Carendo B200 although Im not a Carenado fan really as they mostly produce eye candy with not much substance IMHO
November 9, 201312 yr RealAir Legacy. It's the plane id love to own/build in real life. The panel/avionics would be real close to what I'd want as well.Their Duke v2 comes in a close second. These are my faves as well. It's hard to choose between the 2, the Legacy is more sporty and fun, but the Duke has more systems and can climb much higher. Barry Friedman
November 9, 201312 yr Author Please remember to pick only your favorite plane, since this is the point of the thread. I know its not easy! RealAir Legacy. It's the plane id love to own/build in real life. The panel/avionics would be real close to what I'd want as well.Their Duke v2 comes in a close second. I am not that big into GA aircraft, but I have been looking at the duke v2 lately. Also, looking at the A2A C172, since I am kind of working backwards having started with jets like the 737 and now using smaller planes to refine my flying skills and do everything properly.
