would not agree anymore.

The most disappointing thing in years

If it performs like this with the a2a 172 what do you think it will be like with a PMDG 737?

Epic fail at this point

Interesting. Some have silky smooth experience with average machines and some 15 FPS with monster machines.

Remind me of good old FSX… Don't forget that your milky smooth might be a stuttering mess in my eyes. And you also often don't know what settings were used. The only thing you can do to figure out 'How it is' is to get P3D 2.0 yourself. I will install my copy within some 4 to 5 hours from now. Can't wait...

RE the frame rate drop after moving undocked gauges to a second screen.

I'm not seeing any drop at all, I just moved the GPS in the Bonanza to a second screen and saw no frame rate drop at all. EVGA GTX 780, 4770K @ 4.5Ghz. I get no drop from the mouse over either and I did get that in FSX, that will need more testing to confirm though, its still vanilla P3D 2 so frame rate overhead may be high enough not to see it. I lock to 30 FPS with Vsync enabled in P3D and I see no tearing either and its super smooth.

I've still not got off the ground yet, I've been setting up my controls and trying to see if I can get FSUIPC working, it installs but the menu wont open.

Cheers, Andy.

In regards to the Saitek Panels - I guess P3d v2 is not going away so I bet someone figures it all out. I hope they make an editor like SPAD so we can use them in all AC.

Maybe we could start one of those petitions to get Saitek to send the LINDA guys a full set and they could take the reins from there.

Hi Geofa,

Could you provide more context please? What's failing about it?

Has anyone tried to run this with some payware aircraft (any of them) and how is the performance? Default aircraft are pretty easy on frames (as I saw in the screenshots), but I wanted to see how the payware stuff works.

Perhaps you may give me some pointers why I am seeing this? I really hope I'm overlooking a setting or procedure. perhaps a windows setting? It happens in FSX also but running in fullscreen mode always overcame the frame rate drop. I see no real full screen mode option in V2.

All I can do for now is show you my settings as a comparision, I've literally only been messing with this for 45 minutes or so. I've yet to turn everything up to see how it performs.

Cheers, Andy.

After a lot of playing around last night I've noticed a few really annoying performance bugs. First is anytime I right click to bring up the pop up menu (eg to enable mouse yoke) or click the main menu bar the frame rate absolutely tanks. I've also noticed that my framerate will be silky smooth 60fps, and then if I do something like change the weather theme (even if it's from a cloud dense "fogged over" theme to clear skies) my framerate will tank to 30fps. Sometimes it stays that way, sometimes left clicking anywhere in the window will bring it right back up to 60 fps. I'm guessing it's related to the same issue as the people who have the framerate tank whenever they pull something off the main monitor like a 2D panel.

This is on a fresh install of Windows 8.1 and the latest Nvidia driver btw (you can see my system specs to the left)

Thanks Andy. I only see one monitor listed in your config?

Turn off V-sync then or lower your frame rate lock, as that is the way its supposed to work, it will always try to lock at a division of your monitor refresh rate i.e. 60 30 15. If it cant maintain 60 it will drop to 30 etc.

Cheers, Andy.

+100

Thanks Andy. I only see one monitor listed in your config?

The other monitor is at line 186.

Cheers, Andy.

Gotcha. Thanks. I tend to believe its a Windows/Nvidia setting on my comp more than cfg setting.
