Best all round AI Traffic package?

Featured Replies

To the UT2 users out there, are asian airlines, like MAS, SIA and Garuda covered? Would be nice to know. Google searches dont give me anything. Getting tired of WOAI's old schedules, and the MAS package for WOAI, only has the 2008 schedule with only 734s, and no A380s.

That said, I recommend Ultimate Traffic 2 for the following reasons:

1. They use real world schedules (which you have the option to update--I don't)

It has been a while since Flight1 issued updated schedules. 2012? Been a few airline changes since then.

I've usedseveral commercially available packages and found them to be mediocre, with the aircraft well below standard with modelling and textures. I'm currently using the freeware packages from fullterrain/OrBX (http://www.fullterrain.com/product_traffic.html). Their aircraft are much better and they seem to have updated liveries. To supplement this, I download Airline timetables and use another freeware product "AI Flight Planner" By  G Grovestine. The current version is 2.2.11. This is an excellent package and allows the addition of your own aircraft and plans as well as updating existing airline routes.

Hope this helps.

Can UT2 be installed on another drive other than the FSX drive and the AI be aliased in the fsx.cfg? My SSD is getting full where FSX is installed. Thanks.

Answer to what???

UT2 is best designed for scheduled airlines, I dont even have the ga aircraft database on as you end up getting Cessna's at airports they shoulnt be.

also for it to be at its best you need to add extra scheds, liveries and change some airline names in the database, which is very easy to do.

Trying not to blow my own trumpet here, but ive spent hours and hours and hours tweaking UT2 and last week I helped a guy install my updates from the past 2 half years of tinkering with it.  He said his fsx very looked so good.  Alas I check every day, the avsim library here for scheds updates, as well as http://www.juergenbaumbusch.de/ for repaints and scheds. as well as the ai alpha forumn.

Like everything in life, the more you put in the more you get out.As i said before, if anyone wants any help or advice with UT2 pm me, and I can set you on your way.

Steve, does the FTX/Orbx AI go to destinations outside of AU?

thanks

Ultimate traffic uses djc tfs aadvark models which are fine and they can easily be replaced with different models if you want

I've Been using UT since version 1 although I'd been away from Slight sim for a couple of years now but I had no hesitation in purchasing UT2, I think I'm doing something wrong and this isn't the place to discuss my set up issues but UT2 get's my vote and.......erm...Tooting stand by for a PM :)

I'm using UT2 on Windows 8.1/64 and it works just fine.

Lucky you, I have done every thing I can to get it to work with no luck, and there is an official statement from Flight one;

"The compatibility of UT2 for Windows 8 is at the hand of the developer.  Some users have got it to work while others have not.  We do not officially support Windows 8 and more then likely we will not support it in the future due to the legacy of the code"

As the guy that "tooting" helped out last week, I can indeed confirm that since his kind help, my FSX has never looked so good, with an excellent array of traffic everywhere I go (except Aerosoft airports, I think there's an issue with Aerosoft mega airports and AI for some reason!)

My sim looks nothing like it did with "stock" UT2, and again, am very grateful for the help I received, as it's transformed the AI in the sim for me!

There had better be plenty of UT2 AI planes at Aerosoft's EIDW Dublin when it is released....
