Maybe I've been lucky, but I've had a couple of decent flights using SIDs/STARs and I've had no problems with them. I've had a bit of stuttering when amending (made much easier to handle by pausing briefly), but nothing that prevented me flying the procedure properly. It's certainly not a universal problem.

Overall, I've been able to fly the flights I wanted to fly, I've spotted so many things that make me go wow, and I've not hit any points where I've gone "why didn't they simulate that?", which for day 1 is not bad going.

Now back to circuit practice till I get the feel a bit better for hand flying....

Are you using Navigraph navdata for your flights?

I've had a couple of minor issues with the FMC, one was when it was final approach and I changed it over to the ILS. The plane decided to turn around even though it was on the glidescope and path. Probably user error. The other flights I've done with the FMC have all been pretty smooth since I managed to solve the problems with crashing

No, I've held off updating for now until they confirm they've fixed it so I'm using the stock data, which I believe is from Aerosoft NavDataPro.

Beech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?
ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

X-Plane 12 and MSFS2020  🙂

System specs: Windows 11  Pro 64-bit, Ubuntu Linux 20.04 i7-13700KF  Gigabyte Z790 RTX-4060-Ti , 32GB RAM  1X 2TB M2 for X-Plane 12,  1x256GB SSD for OS. 1TB drive MSFS2020

From the Flight dynamics pov, certainly much more plausible than anything for FSX and derivates, where, for instance, pitching moments due to thrust and asymmetric thrust effecst are a joke compared to X-plane 10's....

Just wondering how this would be a problem with the FMC once you are in approach mode?

Thanks for confirming.

Well it's either a bug or I did something wrong. The FMC (which is not the cause, you're correct) has been good otherwise

I had that too. I did a reinstall later to fix something else and it was fixed, I could open the window. I am using Windows so I don't think it matters which OS you use.

Do you use XPUPIC? if you do maybe try removing that plugin it has been having strange effects on the plane.

I had problems when I first tried this plane but since I removed XPUPIC plugin from my plugins folder it works great. I did a full flight yesterday from KLAS to KSEA with autoland dual channel and it worked as it should.

Thanks Glenn... I did find the issue, I was at KDEN (5,200 feet MSL) , and if the aircraft I pressured the Windows won;t open. I tried at a sea-level airport and go t to work late last night... Thanks....

Yes, probably.  As Jan says in one of the tutorials you need to get localizer capture BEFORE you get glideslope capture or the aircraft might reject it (as in real).  So arming the APP mode when already on the ILS path sounds risky.

Ah thank you. I guess this was the issue. I need to pay more attention :-)

I saw Giant Unicorn's Twitch stream and he had a new glareshield checklist. Where do you get that from?

I just completed a flight from Trondheim (ENVA) to Bergen (ENBR). I installed the latest version of XUIPC. Oh my! This aircraft was rock solid. No more searching for the cruise altitude or oscillations that I encountered on my first flight. I was going to do an autoland but I couldn't help myself, I had to hand fly it in. That was a lot of fun. this aircraft can only get better and better.

Totally agree with this, the dynamics of this aircraft are beautiful.

ENBR 35 is a great approach as well :)

Could you share the correct download link?
