Using the Saitek Pro Flight Throttle. Yes I have calibrated it in X-Plane 10

That is what I use also.

Do you think the Saitek software gets "frozen"  ... some minutes after takeoff?

Have you done a practice takeoff manually throttling to see if all is ok during climb .. crz?

Edit:

I have not purchased IXEG737 yet so cannot do a test.

However, I do have the FlightFactor 767-300 for Xplane10 and all ok with Saitek throttles so far .. just during autoland .. once on the ground A/T OFF and all ok.

I will test a manual approach with A/T off and see if my throttles are or or not.

Ok,

I am on the CLN8v SID out of EGKK level 6000' on my way to EHAM now. SaiTek throttles = A/T ON using FF767-300 (testing).

When I turn the A/T off I get an FMC msg "Throttles blocked".

And they are .. They do not respond.

So, I retard the Saitek throttles to IDLE then advance them .... all OK.

Did my first flight from point A to point B with the 737  using the FMC an all.  Everything went smootly and I did not have any issues, except that I wanted to go to San Francisco from Phoenix  and ended up in San Diego. (lol)  keep getting those two airports mixed up in my head sin the both start with "SAN".  So it was user error in my part,  But aside from that, it was fun!

Just bit the bullet and bought it, great plane and not heavy on the frames. Love the sounds.

Hope MCE adds support for it.

Glad to hear that went well - and no, we won´t be putting in a protection against flying to the wrong airport :Tounge:

Apparently, one of the buttons on my throttle turn it off or disables it for some reason. I have not connected it to any command so hard to tell what is going on. However, it is close the button I have chosen as engage A/T, so it could be that I have been pressing both at the same time :P

For a test you could just stop using buttons on your yoke and just use the mouse to click on the aircraft's MCP to make your selections.

Indeed! We are planning to provide a virtual crew for IXEG 737 bird, and any other heavy aircraft worth interfacing.

You may want to register interest on specific aircraft here. It will help us prioritize things.

Thank you.

Although I do not have much time these days I couldn't resist and purchased the 733. Looking forward to many nice flights. Printing everything now. This bird deserves a printed manual.

I have a triple monitor setup with a fourth monitor below the triple monitors which I use to display 2D panels such as PFD and ND in Prepar3d. As I'm thinking about getting X-Plane and the IXEG, I would like to know if it is possible to setup the views in the IXEG such that you look through the cockpit windows on the triple monitors and undock a second view of the main panel and move it to the fourth monitor?

Besides the fact that the IXEG does not have 2D panels (neither for PFD and ND nor for FMC), views in X-Plane are handled differently than in P3D. In FSX/P3D, you can have several sub-windows which you can freely move around. But in X-Plane, it is all one big window, without sub-windows for panels. There are some aircraft which bring their own 2D panels, but even these can only be moved within X-Plane's main window, but not on another screen.

You can run xplane networked on a dual machine setup. One machine to handle the views (what you see through out the windows), and another machine to handle the systems and having the panel view. Benefit out of this is setup is performance/scalability. A single machine handling to many windows may compromise performance.

It is my understanding you can also get this on a single machine running to xplane copies.

There are also freeware/payware plugin applications to undock instruments. Not familiar with this scenario at all.

I presume this is what you are trying to get, three options explained.

So bottom line you can do the same running 2 computers for increased performance under crazy rendering settings or do it all on the same machine

hope this helps

I really like the method of updating they've implemented with this aircraft! It's really comfy and easy to update. No re-activation and all that...
