March 2, 201412 yr I must be doing something wrong, I run my AI Traffic at 80 - 99% with smooth frame rates. I run OpusFSX, REX textures (clouds at 2048), previously WOAI and now UT2 also 737 NGX at UK2000 V3, FSDT KLAX and Mega Airport Frankfurt. Is there something else you guys are running that you have to run a low percentage of AI? I don't know how it is with ut2 but MTX gives more traffic at 30% than FSX on 100%. On LFPG default I have over 30 planes taking off and landing which kills my FPS.. Especially when sitting in NGX with Rex clouds ASNext enhanced overcast and sgssaa x4 (I am under dx10) 660ti is my culprit. Cannot afford a 780ti right now but this will be my next choice probably. Sometimes I hit 99% Gpu usage and FPS dip down to 15 on such big airports. Still it is a mix of settings and addons you own. Ftx vector for sure is not helping in my case but hey - looks good On the other hand in Australia SP4 I was flying over Perth yesterday and never dropped below 30 with extensive traffic. March 2, 201412 yr I don't use the GA traffic in UT2 at all. It would be nice to see some Kingairs and Cessnas flying around, but those Maules and other taildraggers just annoy me. Hi Christopher, You can add and delete GA traffic in UT2. Open UT2, click on Traffic Options, Aircraft Repaints, under Equipment Type, select Trainer Prop, then click on each pesky Maule and select Remove Aircraft. You can navigate through the various categories and cull the heard to suit your taste. That's one of the perks I like about UT2. Hope that helps, Bill Bill "A good landing is one you can walk away from. An excellent landing is one you can taxi away from." March 2, 201412 yr I am currently running a low-end system with next to no add-ons and WOAI traffic at 40% and GA at 10%. It does slow down my performance a lot, but I prefer lowering the graphics settings since without AI traffic it just feels too lonely out there. Anything above 50 % means lots of go-arounds and other aircraft frequently overtaking me on final approach (default ATC).
March 2, 201412 yr Calclassic's classic AI and set at 100%, it gives an performance impact at the largest airports but I can really live with that. It really adds to the feeling when flying classic aircraft!
March 2, 201412 yr I fly with MTX and, as with Jim, find more than adequate AI with a setting of 25%. March 2, 201412 yr I'm impressed with the amount of AI traffic I now have by just changing my setting to 40%. I've been simming for 12 years and this is the first time I've change the AI setting to less than 100%. I feel my airports are fuller at 40% than it was with 100%. Really impressed! Mike Mike Franks

March 2, 201412 yr No. You can use My Communicator to go on the website and select different schedules. Jim, MyCommunicator does not to go on the website to select schedules. All MyCommunicator does is allow you to select a batch file in your Mytraffic folder to run TrafficDatabaseBuilder.exe to compile the *.dat files that already exist in \MyTraffic\MT_Plans\ But If you then run the Mytraffic editor and load the MTX_V54*.myt database you can then run AutoSchedule Preferences and Random Autoschedule to create even more traffic than is already in the included Traffic.bgl's
March 2, 201412 yr Jim, MyCommunicator does not to go on the website to select schedules. How come you can go there and click on schedules and select the schedule, like the 2013 schedule? That's when I run into lack of traffic, when I click on 2013 schedules. I've never used the Traffic Editor. I have no desire to set up schedules. That's really getting immersed into AI Traffic. I just like it as I don't like the default traffic. Thanks for the information. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! March 2, 201412 yr Running WOAI at 100%, any lower and airports for me are looking quite bare.... I'm sure I have all the packages installed (I should count them). I dont't suffer performance issues because I have a pretty good system and only dabble in commercial airliners, using mainly the defaults with new liveries and soundpacks. I tried a couple of payware airliners, and they created some minor stuttering, so they went! - Paul Elliott http://www.avsim.com/topic/450607-amy-johnson-london-to-australia-attempt/
