Looks good but it will be a bloody cold day in Phoenix before I cough up that kind of cash just for one airport. I don't want Halifax I want YYC!

Hate to be blunt but that guy is NUTTS!  He must be a Canadian living in Europe who figures all Canucks are just plain STUPID.

This pricing scheme (forcing people to buy an airport they don't want to get one they do) would be off-putting if these were Fly Tampa quality sceneries. In fact, from the shots I've seen they appear to be on the level of decently well-done freeware, not high-quality payware (and I've seen a number of much better freeware offerings). If that sounds harsh, consider that this developer is asking for $70 for a bundle of two airports, only one of which a lot of simmers want. At those prices the quality had better be very high indeed.

I never understood why they do that pricing scheme, seems they cut off their own chances at sales

but I wanted Halifax in the first place a year or more ago,  so it became irrelevant in considering CYYC, yet still expensive, 30 would have been better.

I have no desire to purchase Halifax but I have wanted CYYC for years. This policy will keep me from purchasing. It's that simple.

I am guessing that the developer is working on the premise, that there is limited addon airports available in Canada, so has priced according to this belief. So, flight simmers will will pay anything for Canadian airports

After reading this thread, proves how mis guided he is.

Why does this product require you to buy another product as a prerequisite? Makes zero sense, and is a bad business model.

Not buying either one of his products.

This is too complicated and too expensive if you just want Calgary.

Don't like the pricing idea either but I would love an updated CYYC for FSX, not sure that I want to spend all that money for 1 airport though.

I agree with all the above. $40 is too rich for me, especially when I just recently bought FSDT's CYVR for $25. (GSX included) That was a good deal. Didn't have to buy any other package, nothing crammed down my throat. Both work in P3Dv2.1 at no extra charge. B)

Regards, Craig.

Yeah, almost $80 for CYYC (seeing as I would have to get Halifax as well).

For that kind of dough I got ORBX SAK and PAJN (and actually two more airports seeing as I got it during the XMAS sale they "we're never having a sale again".

What is the better value here? Sim Addons? I Don't think so.....

I've come very close to purchasing into the SimAddons airport 'scheme' a few times, but each time I hold back due to cost.  I wouldn't really have a problem with the Halifax requirement if all wasn't so expensive.  I notice that P3Dv2 bundles are different, they don't require Halifax.  I wish he'd revamp the FSX bundles to be the same.

I've really wanted a nice CYYC, so I'm agonizing over this one.  I've heard that they have CYEG in the works; if that happens I might break down and spring for them.

Until then though, I'll probably pass... :(

It's too bad, I'm sure he'd get lots more small sales if he was to drop that Halifax requirement, and just package & price them individually.  Even at his current price levels, he'd probably see more buyers.

This pricing reminds me of Airane. After buying the deluxe base package for CYHZ you will come to realize that you still have to spend another 10 dollars to "upgrade" that base CYHZ 2010 to CYHZ 2012. What a rip off. I was interested in all of their airports in BC and Alberta but not anymore.
