FSX Fiber Accelerator?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

first of all, our initial thought after reading SOME posts was to delete AVSIM forum from our bookmarks and never look back.

On the other hand some user's input and numerous PM I got , made me to decide to just disregard the offenders , non believers or simple trolls who used the well old known methodology of "SnakeOil" .  We leave them to their misery, as there are many respectable users here, that need us on their side.

For those interested:

We repacked the demo (same link) you can find it at the product page

We added as you requested - despite this is, technically and programming speaking,  a risk for exploitation - a 5 tries x 60 minutes demo period.

We also changed the software ID so even those who had reached the zero limit , would again try for 5 times x 60 minutes using the new installer.

We made an installer to avoid the 4 most common error user may do:

- Running the exe from inside the zip without extracting

- Not having FSUIPC installed (it now asks for it)

- Not having .Net 3.5.1 installed (now asks for it)

- Your simulator is not updated to SP2 or Accel. Pack level.

Plus we added some instructions for basic RTFM, because many expected from the application to buy for them a new CPU and some Gigs of RAM, and do it without bothering even to read the full version's manual that is included.

FSPS was always a company that heard its customers (or its potential ones) and having absolute faith in our application said "why not ? "

We will be around...

 Great attitude. Appreciated.

Just to clear things up, I used the term 'snake oil' in a way more general sense, regarding the amount of tips, tweaks, blogs and YT vids available for configuring FSX.

No offence intended as far as FSPS is concerned and yes, I'm a happy user of Sim Physics X.   B)

What happened to AVSIM

Thank you to FSPS for changing there attitude.

As I have said in previous post, I do not want developers to go out of business and having poor comments, the more people working towards solutions then better. However on the same note, if I am paying for a product then I want to make sure it does in fact do what it says on the tin.

I will be trying this out and seeing if it works on my system. If it works then I will note it on this forum, if not then I will not repost about it because I cannot speak for other peoples systems, as that is not fair to the developer.

Thats great news 5 x 60 is ample time to test in diff scenarios . Thanks to the FSPS team much appreciated.

Hi Fly Guys,

is it real, that FSPS team found the Holy Grail of improving FSX performance, so desperately sought for after 8 years? If so, they deserve those 40$ from each user using it!

Really!

But it is bad marketing to give it just a 5min trial (even 5X5 minutes).

FSX Fiber Accelerator seems to work deep into the innards of a running FSX, like a neurosurgeon. Serious simmers are quite skeptical of what it it is doing there - they have to lose a lot (when the program crashes the running setup)... but they have to win a lot, too: PERFORMANCE. A smooth running FSX is real bliss.

A one day trial period allows to test it not only in the gate-setup-situation, but also in different sim situations and complete flights. How does it work, flying a PMDG Boeing from La Guardia to KMIA, or a Concorde from Heathrow to KJFK? What about approaching Mega Airports with heavy loading aircrafts, at heavy weather in night times? Is it only "a trick" working for some 20 minutes, or does the accelerator perform reliable on long hauls?

FSX Booster 2013 was just good for beginners not experienced in tweaking, for long time simmers it was completely useless, and FSPS was not really communicating that. So some skepticism is there...

If the Fiber Accelerator keeps the marketing promises, enthusiastic reports will fill forums, and spreading words will rise attentions.. and sales!

So give it a try - of one day!

At least for the time of the introduction to the global simmers community, lets say two weeks?

Greetings, Michael

Better read the Topic thoroughly before posting Michael.

There already is a 5x 60 min Demo.

Good luck trying !

Michael, I guess you didn't read the post above from FSPS that confirms the try out period has already been changed from 5 x 5 minutes to a very much appreciated 5 x 60 minutes?

A very nice move from FSPS in my opinion.

EDIT....LOL!  Gerard beat to me to it :-)

Cheers

Paul Golding

Good move FSPS and thank you for reconsidering the demo period. I will be testing over the weekend and if this product works as advertised I will be buying.

The people have spoken!

Intel i7 10700K | Asus Maximus XII Hero | Asus TUF RTX 3090 | 32GB HyperX Fury 3200 DDR4 | 1TB Samsung M.2 (W11) | 2TB Samsung M.2 (MSFS2020) | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO | 43" Samsung Q90B | 27" Asus Monitor

...in addition: great, that You offer 5x 60min trial, that gives some better impression. For long haul testing that's still not enaugh... but trials and sales and test reports will now increase for sure! And after some enthusiastic reports i will try it for sure, too!

Greetings , Michael

What we will good also if for FSPS to provide their own demo (videos)....So that non-believers can believe again.

Thanks for listening to your potential customers and responding in a reasonable manner.

We were never good on "art".

This is how I would make a man's drawing :

... Imagine my video how it would look like. We are sure, users - as always - will showcase their performance change.  There are artists on this field out there that will do it better than us...

Just start as normal with fiber running, do what you need to do and when fiber runs out of time restart it,  you don't need to close FSX just leave it running and restart fiber for another 60 min demo.  We are lucky that they even offer a demo.  It's actually in the minority that we are offered trials for FS products.
