We repacked the demo (same link) you can find it at the product page

That's great news thank you I'll check it out now and if it does as you claim then you've certainly got my money :)

I meet the requirements and still get this error,

Most of the time that means you have a problem with one of your Microsoft.net Framework programs and you will need to repair it. You should download and run the .net framework Setup Verification Tool - http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/10/13/8999004.aspx. Most importantly, make sure Microsoft.net 2.0 and 3.5 are installed properly.

I have microsoft .Net framework 4.5.1 currently installed on my system.  A few questions :

1. How do I uninstall it clean? Can I just unistall it from the control panel or do I need a tool?  If so, which is the recommended tool for uninstallation?

2. Will unsinstalling this version affect FSX or any other installations (sceneries, ASN, PMDG NGX etc associated with FSX including FSUIPC which I use for the Saitek X52 Pro?

3. Any special instructions when installing ver 3.5 SP1?

Regards

Ok, since FSPS came through and offered us a useful demo I took the time to do some testing. I flew a couple of approaches to a reasonably large airport in the PMDG NGX while using Fraps for benchmarking. Here are my (admittedly not very scientifical) results:

With Fiber Accelerator set to a minimum of 25 FPS, FSX limited to 30:
Frames: 5187 - Time: 208188ms - Avg: 24.915 - Min: 19 - Max: 34

Without:
Frames: 4591 - Time: 216219ms - Avg: 21.233 - Min: 17 - Max: 31

So apparently it works but you don't get anything for free and there was a noticeable reduction in terrain texture sharpness as I got close to landing. Given that a sudden drop in framerate during a critical stage can potentially ruin your flight a degradation in visual quality might be preferable, so with that in mind this program seems like a good thing to have. However, you could just lower your settings in FSX and get a higher framerate that way, which of course has the downside of making FSX look worse overall, not just when necessary to maintain the desired framerate.

It's up to each and everyone to decide for themselves if the benefits makes the program worth the (imo rather steep) asking price or not. For me who almost exclusively fly GA and generally don't experience any drops in framerate during my flights it's a definite pass, but for people who switch between GA and tubes a lot and don't want to switch configs it might be worth it. It's not snake oil but it's also not as magical as the devs try to make you believe.

Edit: It may be worth mentioning that FSX crashed twice for me when testing, something that very rarely happens to me otherwise, and I also lost one try when I clicked Cancel instead of Evaluate which for whatever reason still counted towards my five tries.

OK..I have something to test this weekend.. Looking forward to it... An increase of 3FPS is worth $50 IMO. Considering all the OC and expenses  I have to do to get that +3FPS.

If It works I would be needing this in P3D. Ha Ha! :)

A tool that would knock off 10% of the VAS would be worth $100+ for sure!

hmmm... what is the problem even with a demo for one week?

If the program is good, I would buy it if it ends after a week.

Hmmm...for me it's working very well.

Aerosoft's Mega Airport Duesseldorf (one of the biggest framekillers!), very bad weather (Active Sky), PMDG 777. FPS locked @25

Without Fiber Accelerator: Frames: 1102 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 18.367 - Min: 13 - Max: 20

With Fiber Accelerator: Frames: 1480 - Time: 60000ms - Avg: 24.667 - Min: 19 - Max: 26

I'm a little bit impressed, but I would like to know in realtime, which parameters the program has changed.

I couldn't see any visual difference...

I see a lot of people asking the same question, what does it change. I would also like to know, but I don't think that you will get an answer and why should they. It's like KFC telling you how they make the chicken coating, or McDonalds Big Mac sauce.

Considering that the developers have backed down over the demo time, the fact it works and has no lasting repercussions when it is uninstalled should be cause for celebration.

If it effectively dynamically controls visuals to maintain a specific framerate Lockheed should buy it and put it into p3d!

Meant to say - does it have any effect on smoothness or is it just improving headline fps figures?

Yep, so lets celebrate:

What a bunch of nerds all of you, shame, shame, shame, why not embrace and salute a new find/tool for FSX?

No, no, no, and def. no, make trouble instead, weird...

To be fair, it's healthy for things to be questioned in any market. I don't think it happens enough in flight simulation, in general terms

I was surprised they came back today after the way they were treated. It was like they had thrown a snake into a wedding reception.

Any program like this will be met with skepticism. Most of us have been burned at one time or another. If it is a good program it will do fine. If not......

A debugger and disassembler will show you

Could not agree more.
