FSX Fiber Accelerator?

Featured Replies

I have net.frame 4.5.1 as well. Wish it would work with that so I could give it a try.

You can

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22

But you need to uninstall 4.5, install 3.5SP1 then install 4.5. After reading the reports about the demo mode, you could be wasting your time.

I won't bother either, smells like snake oil

As opposed to the 5 minute demo, I would rather see a 30 day money back guarantee.

As it is, I will not bother with the demo, or buy the product.

Joe

I have a program that cleans coffee stains. You get a free five minute trial (after five minutes is up the stain comes back unless you buy the full version).

Luckily I didn't need the stain remover Al    I'm still laughing at the snake oil comment

it has to at least be a working product as the 3rd party sim stores probably wouldn't allow it to be sold on there sites, i have sim physics, which i always enjoyed, i used fsx booster 2013 for awhile but quit using it when i upgraded my pc, if anyone buys this product please report back as i am interested in the results as i own alot of payware airports and fly the pmdg 777 the majority of the time along with the airbus x on my short flights.

Take it easy Rich, it was just a joke. Besides, if you're charging people $40 you no longer qualify as a humanitarian.

No problem Al  :drinks: I like the thinking out of the box programs that they try to develop - hopefully this program will work for most as I am not using fsx anymore I cant give it a try

Yeah this was pretty much my experience.  I opened the software just to see what the hell it did and how it worked...that counted as ONE try.   I was not going to attempt use until I saw how it worked at least.   When I did use it, the FTX/Orbx scenery I selected (FTX England) looked very poor with not much FPS improvement.  Certianly no scenery improvement.

DELETE.  Game over.   Thanks for playing.

No offense to the developer, but $40...come on. We should get at least a 24hr demo for that price.

FSX/Acceleration and most of FSX addons require versions 2.0 through the latest to run properly. Microsoft.net programs are not backward compatible for the most part. Version 1.1 was released with FSX but I have found that 2.0 is the one required. See the AVSIM CTD Guide on the right of this forum under Hot Spots for links to all the versions and a verification tool to make sure you have all of the versions required. Versions 1.1 through 4 were installed when you installed FSX and the applicable programs/addons. Microsoft.net Framework packages are used by developers to make sure their program runs properly as intended, including memory management. Same thing goes with Microsoft Visuals. You need version 2005 w/SP1 for FSX/Acceleration and 2008 and later versions for addons. They are not backward compatible for the most part too (per Google).

One thing I was wondering : you have to set the target framerate . For me 30.

Then the Lowest framerate. To know whiat that is I have to go to my most framerate eating airport with th most demanding curcimstances : Amsterdam Schiphol with AI aicraft and lots of clouds. All the canals and waters in the surrounding area have an impact on the framerate too. My lowest framerate is 17.

FSPS writes that FSX is trying to catch up with the lowest framerate setting.

I am puzzeled here as FSX will not get below this framerate as it is already the lowest I can get.....without the use of this program.....

It would make sense to set the lowest framerate instead of 17 to 22 and then the program manipulates the terrain ....
