January 3, 201511 yr I bought the FSX Turbine V2 version and really like it. I still fly FSX, but I mainly fly Prepar3d now. I went ahead and purchased the F1 750 for Prepar3d in anticipation of the Duke Turbine V2 release... I'm a real fan of RealAir...I have the Duke's, V1 & V2, the Legacy, and even the SF260. All very nice aircraft. I hope it's a quick release...can't wait to get it into Prepar3d... Excellent job! January 4, 201511 yr Bought it, enjoy it, but not amazed by it, probably because I have all their other products so there is not much new here, nothing wrong with that though. Taxing is nice and easy, sound effects are very nice and the new setup menu is great. Have clickspot issues straight away so disabled the lights to fix that which is a nice options. Negative points (or I need to read the manual??) - Cabin light is too dim, it would be nice if you could switch the cabin light on to help you see the battery light etc, the whole panel is still pitch black with it on. - Cabin switches do not save properly, if I leave the fuel selector off it is on when you load the flight, same with the oil doors, same with the panel lights. If I want some light when flight in the pitch dark, I leave the panel light on and switch the battery off, but on loading the flight and switching the battery on, the panel light is off. (if this feature worked, the dim cabinet light would not be an issue). Top job guys again though, look forward to putting some more hours on the beast. -Iain Watson-
January 4, 201511 yr Tested mine just seconds ago. Great work as always but there was the problem with the windshield getting blue when it started to rain. I thought this has been fixed by now. Model was the D-NYSR. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

January 4, 201511 yr Oh D*** I can't resist. Thanks guys. Deal maker was the GTN support which I already own and discount pricing for existing T Duke owners. (Thanks Bert) Trying to get my friend to put a RW one in his plane. January 4, 201511 yr Did you download the patch that was to fix this issue I bought it today, so I supposed the installer was updated. It says so on their website at least. But I´ll try nevertheless. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
January 4, 201511 yr Can anyone tell me if ATC messages are easier to hear than they are in the B60 v2? I can hardly hear ATC when the engines are running in flight. The level of illumination in FSX is extremely dependent on the user's monitor and other settings. If you use a lot of contrast and not much gamma, you will see a completely different level of light compared to lower contrast and higher gamma. For every customer that complains of not enough light, there will be others who say too much light at night spoils the night atmosphere. In the config app you can set the panel lights to be ON when loading. I recommend reading the manual. I think there is probably a good reason why the fuel levers default to on but I'll leave it to Sean to explain if he wants to add a comment. The guide (recommended reading) advises keeping the engine sounds between halfway and two thirds and that gives scope for the ATC sound sliders to be fully right. This improves the balance but I believe quiet ATC in comparison to other sounds has always been an issue in FSX. January 4, 201511 yr All clear Rob I am just finding time to read the full manual, interesting read indeed. -Iain Watson-
January 4, 201511 yr Great plane but I only have one problem. Pressing left or right brake has the plane turning very fast.
January 5, 201511 yr Well don't push the brake so hard! I'm sure if it was that easy I would'nt have posted this question
January 5, 201511 yr Very excellent release guys! Excellent sounds, great FDE, beautiful visuals, Rob and Sean outdone themselves again. Request to Sean: re paintkit.. Can you include a PSD layer file for the main panel textures, especially the night texture? (mainly for ease in changing reg numbers on the night panel)....I made some simple re-registration paints for that beautiful blue German scheme, it was tricky to repaint over the night panel texture. I was able to do it, but took a bit of fudging without 'layers'. Anyway, great plane guys, good luck with the P3D release, take a nice holiday.....then bring on Scout V2 or whatever new bushplane you guys have planned (RealAir Husky?? ) After these fast plane releases, it would be a great change of pace for some good ol RealAir stick n rudder flying into the bush......sorry autopilot jockeys, lets get low and dirty next "The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." - Douglas Adams Tejon 'TJ' Stanley
January 5, 201511 yr Commercial Member I think there is probably a good reason why the fuel levers default to on but I'll leave it to Sean to explain if he wants to add a comment. We cater to customers with a wide range of experience levels. With our early Dukes, whenever the aircraft was loaded the fuel levers were set to be wherever the pilot last left them. This caused some problems - the FSX auto start function won't move the fuel levers from off to on, so if the fuel levers are "off" the FSX auto start doesn't work. For this reason we used to get a fair few customer complaints that the engines wouldn't start. To stop this from happening in more recent versions of our aircraft we chose to set the fuel levers to be on whenever the aircraft is loaded. By default the panel lights are set to on when the aicraft loads to encourage the use of panel lights in the day - it makes the panel a little brighter. You can change this via the Config Panel. Request to Sean: re paintkit.. Can you include a PSD layer file for the main panel textures, especially the night texture? (mainly for ease in changing reg numbers on the night panel)... I can certainly do that. But the paintkit will be some weeks off, we have quite a long list of things to do first (P3D versions at the top of that list).
