With the 747v2, the DC-6 and I've heard whispers of something for X-Plane (not sure how true) I doubt we'll see this anytime soon.

But, Rob Raz is speaking at Flight Sim con so we'll hear about future projects there

I sincerely hope PMDG doesn't waste time developing what is going to be a real nice product by QW. There's a lack of a good 757 and 767 in the market which are really really great and good looking airliners (also popular), i can't see why such a project would fail if it materializes.

Shame on LevelD though, making people think there's gonna be a 757 someday, feeding the idea and coming out empty. Their 767 by today's standards is no longer up to par as well :(

Ah, well there we go, thanks Kyle. I never saw that post

Welcome!

I bet LD will release the 757 any day now.  I wonder what is the next Boeing plane.  Is there a 797 in the works?  Someone could claim it and hopefully the sim could be out when the real plane comes out.  I think I'll start a company and make the 797 - so no one else dare compete with me - I'm first.

So you don't want them developing something that QW is making? You want them to make a aircraft, 757, that QW has already produced?

Boeing 767-400 must be a good addon with PMDG Technic. Sure to be selling a lot.

Actually I don't think so, as PMDG found out with the MD-11, out of production models do not sell well, and the 767-400 is kind of a limited variant with only 2 Airlines buying them Delta and Continental (Now UNITED). So I don't think PMDG would get the sales support you think they would to make it worth while for them to produce.

Speaking of 787s, have you seen Abacus' work?

Laughs and jokes aside, I think a 787 is long overdue. It would be great if PMDG made a 787 their next combined X-Plane/FSX project. The 787 on the X-Plane side isn't great, either... It doesn't even have a custom FMC.

Oh god, the abacus video made me cringe so hard. I cannot believe they are selling this. Freeware and default planes are better than that garbage. 0:17 what the actual fck?

Of course. Their 757 is just a bit more than a default A/C (because they wanted to do it that way). This isn't the case with the upcoming 787 and wasn't for sure with their great Avro.

Guys-

Just because another dev is doing a 787 doesn't mean PMDG wont. look at how many have produced a 737, and even a 777.

I personally spoke with RSR in the pits at the Reno Air Races( where I saw him every year until the big crash), and I asked him about the 787. Of course, I cant tell you what he said...but lets just say it looks 'promising'

my biggest planes i am looking forward to are the 787 quality wings, and aerosofts crj.i hope the crj has the complexity of the a318-321, but the simplicity of having a first officer to do the check lists until i learn the plane.it seems like x-plane has the planes that are not made for p3d, such as a good a350,727,a330.i wish p3d developers would take notice of some more classic birds with shared flight deck. aerosofts a320 is alot of fun with 2 people, but hard to find multiplayer va pilots.if anyone is interested message me.
