July 30, 201510 yr my rules on carenado: 1) only buy during xmas sale season, never sticker price. Post of the year.
July 31, 201510 yr I am thinking of getting the Hawker and would like to know if you are talking textures or model being unsymmetrical? I have looked at most of the screen shots and videos and can see no problem with textures or model but maybe when actually on my pc I would notice them. Thanks, paul I meant textures. August 2, 201510 yr If I can integrate the GTN 750 - or mod it somehow (usually if Bert can mod it lol) I at least consider itI'm a big sucker for bizjets. Image the upcoming E55P with GTN in the central G1000 MFD hehe - totally fake but functional Probably won't get even that though - the phenom 300 is about as fast as the Hawker. What I have been flying of late is the Lionheart Lear with GTN mod. Super fast and powerful - lite systems but I got it cheap so no complaints. The Hawker has too many things that ###### me right off....FLC broken, the way Carenado says ALT hold should work lol.... honestly I agree with posters description of Carenado's technical knowledge..... sometimes I think there is just a language barrier. I tried via support tickets to tell them how FLC with a PL21 system should work - I couldn't get through to them. (Maybe it was the engineer side of me vs a customer service side I need lol) Oh yeah, and Carenado and xplane 10 - beautiful functional aircraft!! Dan does a great job - if any of you use XP10 don't discount Carenado - totally different company (literally lol) in XP10. Also XP10 addons are priced cheaper than FSX in general. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 2, 201510 yr Commercial Member The Phenom 300 is too be released soon according to their facebook page. I will wait on the Hawker until I see the 300. September 5, 201510 yr I find Carenado planes too expensive at their face price (not value) and therefore I only buy them when there is a Christmas sale because only then (as someone stated) do they approach their real worth. They look and work very nicely I must say but even at their discounted price their documentation is a a TOTAL disappointment. Worst of all they do it over and over again without listening to their loyal user base. As for PMDG the only product I bought from them was their J41 but it was so buggy that it is a pain to use it from cold & dark and they NEVER bothered to issue a fix for all those bugs, simply moved on to yet another PMDG. Therefore I lost trust of PMDG as well. E.G.Freelance IT Consultant www.PanamaVibes.com | www.lordofwingsPTY.com | www.coralys.com @aviationweb
September 5, 201510 yr I'll look at & possibly buy any Carenado, that's gone through the X-Plane "re-assembly" line. Nothing to do with X-Plane's form of flight dynamics either. Just a good re-work, by someone that knows what they're doing. I probably mentioned this farther up on this thread. Just saying it again. Oh................I still buy a lot for FSX. I'm not a one sim person. Haven't bought any Carenados for FSX, in many years. I still think they're like a well done painting, from artists who know what it takes. Good graphics means a lot, to me...........and that has value within itself. Crappy looks, with good flight dynamics, don't interest me. It needs to be both. Buy X-Plane Carenado!

February 2, 20197 yr I have purchased the new C172SP, and this my friends is the final straw!!! Carenado, lm out, see ya!!!!
February 2, 20197 yr Well, if we are going to dredge up an old thread... After buying several Carenado products and one Alabeo product, I think I'm done too. They are pretty to look at, but so darned many issues with inoperative or incorrectly operating systems and questionable flight models. As far as I'm concerned, Carenado/Alabeo's only hold is the fact that they flood the market with aircraft types that we really want. It's too bad that they have bugs that are never addressed. I don't expect top end stuff from Carenado, but I do think for the amount of money their products cost, they need to deliver a bit more. Eliminating the bugs that have been there for years on end, and generally just getting the basics right for a start. Best regards, Neal McCullough

I agree 100%, but as long as people continue to buy their flawed aircraft, that's all they will make. February 5, 20197 yr I don't have any problem with Carenado aircraft and I've either owned or flew several of them in the real world. 🙂 Grace and Peace, I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam
February 5, 20197 yr I have a number of Carenado planes and really enjoy them, like the Phenom 300, Hawker 850, AC690, Cheyenne II, Cessna 525 but each one has had extensive modifications done by the Avsim community, folks like Bert, Bill, Ray and others. For me those mods make all the difference!
