October 23, 201510 yr I purchased it, let me tell you I think it's fantastic much better FPS and the draw to the horizon is brilliant. It looks unbelievable. I'll post pics later on
October 23, 201510 yr How much is it to upgrade? When you are a previous owner, you will get a 50% discount code in the email. Bought mine for 19,95
October 23, 201510 yr I purchased the older version through X-Aviation; but I received no discount email them and their contact form gives me an error when submitting an inquiry. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.
October 23, 201510 yr Commercial Member Those comparison pics aside, I do plan on upgrading tonight when I get home. $20 isn't too steep for me to play with the settings and make my own opinion. It's not like there's a ton of choices in the XP weather department! For me, since I fly 75% of the time under 12,000 feet, I'm more interested to see how it looks from below and through, and how well the clouds look in combination with rugged terrain. From what I've seen so far elsewhere, it looks to be improved over v2 quite a bit, and I'm eager to check it out myself! Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
October 23, 201510 yr Finished my first flight. Better fps so I could tune my settings up a little bit. Looking better than 2.x, well spend 20 bucks.

My experience is great. I flew a short flight at FL120 and everything looks great! I too thought that 2.1.1 looked good, but I have to say that this is better. FRs were not hurt and may, in fact, be a little better! Running at default so far. Ses - I think you need to reinstall! John John Wingold

October 23, 201510 yr Thanks, all shots taken over EGNT. It's definitely better than v2.... 100%..... Now it's just time for me to stop pondering and go order a GTX 980ti ;-)
October 23, 201510 yr Great shots indeed! Many thanks to the developers and team for such a great product again. Class A service! Alexander Colka
October 23, 201510 yr A potentially dumb question here but I'm relatively new to XP and have only been using default. Will this work with any weather engine? I'm currently using NOAA plugin but have also been eyeing up FSGRW too. I'm thinking it shouldn't matter but I just want to make sure before I buy. Thank you.
