I can still wow in FSX!

I reworked my custom sky textures for FSX, added blue haze, reworked my SweetFX preset for DX10 just a bit, this is the result - the most realistic visuals I've seen in FSX to date, from my point of view. I'm so glad I reworked sky textures! These were taken on a descent to LPPT (Lisbon). Not edited in any way!

If you ask me, this looks way more realistic than any presets I've seen, especially dark ones which are very popular. On my monitor this preset looks perfect in terms of brightness and hue.

FSX DX10 + FTX Global + Vector + OpenLC EU + REX Soft Clouds + Active Sky Next + FsPassengers + NGX.

Looks good and nice and bright, like the real world. I don't like the look of really dark ground and sky that I see posted here a lot. The world is bright when you go out on a fairly clear day.

Btw, how did you "rework" your sky textures, meaning what tool did you use?

Exactly, the world is bright when you go out on a fairly clear day, and I'm trying for years to mimic that in FSX. I adjusted all sky textures in Photoshop to match my SweetFX preset, by adjusting saturation, hue and brightness. Few days ago I added blue X-Plane like haze on day sky textures after looking at some real life high altitude photos.

I love that X-Plane blue haze style, it looks brilliant and realistic.

Hi, Pe11e,

These are great shots.

I love FSX DX10! Once a stable platform has been put together, and enhancing is experimented with FSX, one can obtain some outstanding results. Just like these shots.

Thanks for sharing these.

Yeah, FSX DX10 is the way to go! And on top of all it's the main culprit why I didn't still migrated to P3D v3 which I purchased, and sadly not using except for some testing when it was released. As you said, once a stable platform has been put together - everything works perfectly, without any glitches, smooth. I don't have an urge to migrate to any other platform right now.
