January 29, 201610 yr Commercial Member Greetings all, I myself can't believe that there is no upgrade/discount for previous owners of the 1.2 outside of 365 days. Hi Rick, If you're upgrading for FSX - we offer a $4.99 redownload purchase program, should you wish to continue using the Concorde-X there (includes FSX-SE) - it covers our costs on the ISP only - we don't see any of this income, so the v1.3 FSX update is virtually free for work that has taken years to develop (the autopilot / autothrust logic alone, which was developed for the A320-X and retrofitted in the Concorde-X is one such example). Ok, then this post by Lefteris is mileading NOTE: If you have purchased the Concorde-X for FSX in the past 365 days and have also bought the eSellerate download protection, you can use the eSellerate support link to visit their web site - use the email you used to purchase and your order number - then, the FSX download should be of the new v1.3 installer! There is unfortunately no upgrade path for previous FSX owners - the P3D version is a new purchase entirely. Thank you so much for your continued support! So where/how do we apply the redownload fee? January 29, 201610 yr The FSX loading process differs from the P3D one - in P3D, this does not occur, so you can safely load (and we actually prefer that you do) in the Create Scenario screen. Excellent! Thanks for clearing that up! Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
January 29, 201610 yr I have a hard time understanding the whining about the price of the product. If you feel it's too expensive just don't buy it...? Personally, I don't think $80 is that much money considering the hours I will get out of it. A night out at the bar would cost me way more and only be fun for a couple of hours (with even more hours later spent in headache-land...). I spent a total of around $120 for the 737 NGX for the base model and add on pack. I have had it less than two months and have already flown it about 130 hours. One hour in a C 172 costs more than that.
January 29, 201610 yr Yep, the hours we spend in them sure makes them value for money, as long as we do use them and there not a flight of fancy. I've wasted a ton of money in the past, live and learn. David Murden. January 29, 201610 yr What a load of rubbish. Are they seriously trying to say that if a certified pilot crashes an A320 they are going to go after a third party developer of a simulated aircraft model for P3D? Come on............ Obviously you're not a lawyer, or have had experience with them post incident. _________________________________ -Dan Everette CFI, CFII, MEI 7900X OC @ 4.8GHz | ASRock Fatal1ty X299 Professional | 2 x EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 (SLI) | 32GB G.Skill DDR4 2800

January 29, 201610 yr Lots of whingeing about price it is what it is pay or not your choice ,would like to see some reviews from those who have been brave and purchased . I am on a triple monitor setup. Vas handling big concerns \I see Robs thread has gone from fslabs forum was waiting to see conclusion to this and would love to see some videos before I decide to purchase. I am really concerned about the amount of 2d panels always had trouble with 2d panels and vas not unloading I fly 747 in early days was a prime example . Purchased ez dock to avoid using them and have little problem now . I fly 747 is an excellent product now. Been really looking forward to this product and I am on the fence at the moment need to see real reviews and comments before I decide to purchase. January 29, 201610 yr Just so you know there are lots of previously real world Concorde flights that are much shorter. KJFK - TBPB is about 2 hours, plus the Around the World Tours contain many short legs of anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. You can see all of the routes here. http://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/ Ah, thanks for that! Wasn't aware of the variety available. KJFK-TBPB would fit well. Nice winter morale-booster, too. Might be enough to break down the last of my sales resistance... which actually wasn't all that strong to begin with... Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
January 29, 201610 yr I cannot comment on P3D as I only have it on FSX-SE. I was a beta tester and you can see my detailed videos on flying concorde on my Youtube Channel "UPS1000" [note these were filmed under the older version in FSX]. With regard to flying with the 2D panels yes you need to use them a lot, there is really no getting around it because the Flight Engineers panel does not work (you can click on the FE panel and it will bring up the appropriate 2D). Of course if you use the automated Flight Engineer (cough) you will need them less. The way I have found to work around this problem is to link the key panels (Overhead and Fuel) to my Throttle Quad using the registered version of FSUIPC. When I press the button it opens the top of the fuel panel and when I release it opens the bottom. Its setup as toggle so the second press of the buttons closes the panels. The 2D panels are wonderfully crisp and detailed so you will not find you are lacking there. I always fly from the VC and just work through the checklists by opening and closing the various 2D panels. The aircraft if wonderful to hand fly, you can very comfortably hand fly her up to 10 or 20 thousand feet and below 10,000 feet. I always manually land and with the exception of flying into JFK the past weekend during the snowstorm (vis of 0.25 miles and 200 foot ceiling) I can't remember the last time I auto landed....even though it does it perfectly (make sure you setup correctly, this is not the 777). I can tell you that the first time you start from C&D, bring her to a ready to takeoff state, fly and manage the fuel and INS, then manually land and shutdown all by yourself you will be grinning from ear to ear and will possibly have enjoyed the most satisfying (and busy) 4 hours of your simming life. Ah, thanks for that! Wasn't aware of the variety available. KJFK-TBPB would fit well. Nice winter morale-booster, too. Might be enough to break down the last of my sales resistance... which actually wasn't all that strong to begin with... Lovely flight and you have to end it by flying a DME circling approach into TBPB. Mark CYYZ
January 29, 201610 yr Lovely flight and you have to end it by flying a DME circling approach into TBPB. Nice! And since I'm based in the Washington DC area, that opens up the KIAD-KMIA and KDFW possibilities, too. Many good options! Alan Ampolsk"Ah, Paula, they are firing at me!"-- Saint-Exupery
January 29, 201610 yr Nice! And since I'm based in the Washington DC area, that opens up the KIAD-KMIA and KDFW possibilities, too. Many good options! Flying into Washington is cool because Concorde had to stay high until close to avoid some military airspace (I think). The approach is called the falling off the wall approach where the aircraft descends at a very high FPM. Here it is. http://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/washington.html Mark CYYZ
January 29, 201610 yr Thanks Mark for you comments still on the fence at the moment understand the reason behind the 2d engineers panel and sure could setup view and click . Just waiting to see some videos from the new release in prepar 3d as that's my simulator and more comments on vas usage . Colin hodds I7 9700K,nvidia 3090 ,ssd ,32gig 3200mhz ram ,win10,prep3d
January 29, 201610 yr Lucky you, Mark, having it working in FSX-SE.......................................if only I could do the same. Still waiting at the FSL Forum for somebody to crack this in FSX-SE. Aagh, mentioning IAD, what nostalgia that evokes. Working the night shift after having just done a 'lates' on what we at BA jokingly referred to as 'ghosters', to prep her for the next morning departure, and as the union rules were that one could not return to the 'lates' until an 8-hour period had expired, to look up over the Hounslow skies and see it gliding gracefully as it lined up for 27R, was so satisfactory. And by sheer coincidence, one of our Sat free channels is showing the movie, Mach2 featuring a |BA Concorde !! Rick Almeida
