And appreciated!

Thank you for the detailed update Martin. Great stuff.

Usually when users talk about a pre-release product, developers just shrug them off.

I am happy to see that we have one of the few developers who stop, listen, and find a solution. Bravo.

Let me guess.... you want 64bit.

Hi Martin;

once again thanks for your time.

one question that puzzled me is:

will existing fsx terrain mesh bgl - objects bgl - Lc bgl and photorealistic scenery originally in FSX format - work in DTGFS ?  or the engine is completely new and feature a new system ?

tx

I would like to echo this last question, I have heavily invested in photoscenery that I love. Will I be able to add this to the scenery library in the flight simulator when it is released?

regards.

Guys,

Flight School will be a closed experience as Martin has stated and will not support mods or 3rd party addons. So although 64 bit doesnt affect .bgl's as much, you wont be able to add scenery on or over the default ORBX FTX Global that it ships with. This question would probably be better for their bigger sim due at the end of the year, but they arent really discussing it right now.

yep - the question is for the DTG Flight Simulator

Yeah, same here. Just wondering what we are going to be able to add aircraft wise as well?

You will not be able to add anything, it's a closed platform.

The full sim will possibly allow addons but there is no indication as to whether the SDK will be publicly available or only available to DTG partners.

Just to be clear, I appreciate that the flight school is a closed program, it is the flight simulator I am asking about that is released later on this year. Does anybody jnow if we will be able to add existing photo scenery as we do now?

DTG's and their "partners" will  sell you addons for the full Sim, that much is certain.

Will there be a publicly available SDK so the freeware folks can also join in the fun is the question you need to ask Martin.

Well; if Dlc is the only way to add addons i will not buy Dtg flight simulator - that is for sure and will use other simulators that are open and warmly welcome you to be creative.

I would be happy - sdk or not - to import existing - terrains scenery - as Land class - mesh - photorealistic and 3d objects - my fsx - xplane 10 (already 64 bits) work well with terrains addons -  i can add  lots for free + payware if like to do so - do not need to buy all lot again.
